flowmaster AT catback help
Ever since i installed it, it's been making a weird noise. Sounds like 2 metals are hitting each other when i hit bumps. I took the tunnel brace off, took it for a ride and the noise is still there. It's coming from the passenger side under the tranny shifter. What could it be? I have the solo high flow cats and thats it.
Thanks |

I know nothing about exhaust.... BUT, I heard some funky metallic rattling over every bump one day, sounded like it was under the passenger seat. My stepson was with me, I had him help me listen for where it was coming from. Turned down the radio, shut the sunroof, listened real carefully. It took a couple miles to pinpoint exactly where the noise was coming from.... the glovebox. My front plate is in there, it was rattling around. I felt like an idiot. My advice, before you take apart your whole exhaust, is to check your glovebox. Might surprise you. or not. Good luck!

Took a better look underneath, realized the passenger side muffler was sticking out more than the drivers side so im guessing it needs to be realigned.

Once you do that, make sure that the rubber grommits in the rear are positioned right. This will cause the muffler to raise/lower enough to cause it to rub, and make niose.
