Arg, I I didn't realize there was a secondary clamshell piece. I wonder if I can get it off without removing the rails again, what does it look like underneath?
I've been looking at these fuel rails to clean up the looks under the hood. Every fuel rail I've looked at it didn't say if it came with the fuel lines. Either the inlet or crossover line. Did it come with them for you or did you have to buy them separate? How much did all the fuel stuff run you? I've seen the rails for $155. Thanks

Just unlbolt the rails and pop them out, slide the cover out, I did mine in like 15 mins.

Bought them separately, the rails I got only came with the two rails open at both ends and the mounting hardware. I don't remember the total but I got the ends that go on the rails from mast and the rest from summit if you're looking for a good deal.

But I've been told that Mast stopped making the fuel rails, don't know if it's true or not though, didn't look into it

I consider engine covers to be heat retainers. So, mines off.

I took both mine off after a 120 mile trip on the highway. A huge rush of hot air came out from under the cover when I took it off.

My Engine cover has been off since the day I brought it home....
Since then I've done a few things I think GM should have done.

(1) Home grown heater hose relocate.
(2)Fuel rail flip with Corvette fuel line.
(3)Clam Shell removal.
(4)Re-locate Evap Valve and related hoses.
(5)Remove Coil brackets and mount coils directly to Valve covers(Holley)
(6) Re-route engine harness where it splits around Oil fill Cap.

Other stuff as well but I think this is a great improvement visually with the cover removed.

67motorcat whats the part number for the vette fuel line for the rail flip? I have the '12 so the heater lines are already out of the way but yours looks so much cleaner then mine. I have painted the clamshell victory red to match the car and will be putting it back jsut to improve on the looks.

do you remember what the PN's were for the fuel lines from summit? I thought I saw on mast's website they still had them. I guess the only way to find out is to call. I'm not all about the colored fuel rails that everyone has except for the black ones. Thx

Do you have the part # for the Corvette fuel line. I want to flip my fuel rail.
