I'm OFFICALLY boycotting Best Buy

I purchased a new camera with them in February and got the extended warranty with them. I went to the customer service desk and the girl told me I have a one year manufacturer warranty. Okay so then she sends me to the GEEK Squad. The guy looks at my camera yes, the part that connects my usb cable is broke inside my camera. Okay did you purchase our warranty yes. Then he comes back and tells me its normal wear and tear and it won't be COVERED WTF

If I have to call the president of the company tomorrow I will. To make matters worse my laptop I purchased with them doesn't even turn $1600 Hewlett Packard probably WILL BE SCREWED ONCE AGAIN

That sucks but im sure if u made enough noise or went through the right channels they would prolly cover it. Doesnt the warranty cover normal wear and or breakage due to dropage.?

I didn't even drop it! I don't have scratch or nick on it:( It's called FUJI CRAP

No but if your warranty DOES cover "accidents" like dropping it then may I suggest the SEARS tower?

I had an issue with them recently too. They say they do price match, so I bought a digital camera from them and like the next day I found out frys had it cheaper by $20 dollars, so I went back to them to get my price match and long story short I got in a fight with the store manager and told them I wasn't gonna leave until I got my difference. They were trying all in there power to avoid giving me the difference and so I started screaming and the cop dude came over and guess what? I got my difference. I was like if u don't like giving price matches then don't offer it. So from now on I'm never shopping at best buy again. I miss circuit city.

I used to work for geek squad. Its a whole lot of "procedure" crap. Honestly the best thing to do is DONT YELL!!! Ask for a manager and need be, yell at them.
