4th gen sucked - and that comes from someone who loves the pony cars! I had a 2nd and 3rd gen and really liked them and was looking forward to the 4th - but when it came out it just looked wrong. It had lost it's small, clipped boxy car with a big engine into a swoopy melted thing with hidden spoilers.
I guess what I'm saying is that a Camaro - to me - is an 'in your face' 'I'm here' 'I'm ready to play' 'bring it on' type of car, and the 4th just looked too refined...

Without a doubt, 1st gen, 67-69 with my personal preferences for the 67.

That's a tough one, I like versions of each generation. I picked 4th gen because I love the 98-02 SS's. My favorites:

69 Z28's and SS's
70 1/2 Z28
85-87 IROC
90-91 RS V8
91-92 Z28
97 30th Ann SS
98-02 SS
2010 SS

[QUOTE=Hylton;389332]I have to disagree with you about the 4th gens not looking like any other models. It actually paid tribute to the 1st gens with it's coke bottle side profiles. The SS hoods had an air intake styling that was similar to the 1979 Z/28 and the tail lights did have some similarities to the late 2nd gen and all the 3rd gens. [QUOTE]

The fake grill of the 98-02's remind me of the early 70's F-body's also.

First gen, after that second, then third, then fourth. The fourth's styling beared no resemblance to what is a Camaro unless you got the SS model. The Firebird/Trans Am definitely ruled the 98-02 years in looks.

As much as I like the 98-02 Camaro's best (other than the 5th of course) it's funny you should put it that way.

I had a 2002 Camaro and my mother had a 2002 Concorde. I always told her it looked like a 'bloated Camaro'. lol
