How do I replace the right rear turn signal?
I got an alert today on the gauge that I should check the right rear turn signal, after I signaled to merge into the right lane. I didn't positively confirm it, but I suppose it's reporting it's not turning on..
Assuming the bulb is bad, what kind of bulb do I need? And how do I replace it? Is there a diagram for the location and kinds of fuses, as well? Thank you very much. |

We had a hail storm in my area (NY) and I had to bring it into the shop (covered under insurance). I just got it back and, a few days later, today in fact, the turn signal is out. So, I may just complain to my insurance, since the work is guaranteed. If it fails on deaf ears, I'll talk to the dealer. |

It is easy to do. Just open the trunk and there is a Black plastic cover on the right side that has 3 push pins that need to be removed, remove the cover and you can see the tail light sockets. Turn then Counter Clockwise about 1/4 turn and you can pull them out of the lens assembly. Replace the bulb and use reverse procedures to re-install !! It should take about 5-10 minutes for someone that has never done it before.

They're called scrivets and you can pop up the center piece with a small flat head screw driver.
