Oh, ok.

If the Hypertech tune helps your car the same way it did mine, I predict you're going to be very, very close to breaking into the 13's (cool dry weather helps too!).

Us Hypertech owners are rooting for you, make us proud.

Been beat to death... the V6 is over-sparked and relies on the knock sensors to pull the timing back... knock sensors are very active on 87 octane... put 93 in the tank and the knock sensors don't pull as much timing... Basically self tuning...

you just need a dash hawk..it adds 100hp...put it on, watch your 0-60 go down to -5 sec and your 1/4 mile to <13 sec.

MotorTrend just got a 0-60 in 5.8 and 1/4 mile time of 14.2 @ 101 mph for the new 3350 lb Camry V6(down 200 lbs) and 5.7/14.2 @ 101 mph for the new 3500 lb VW Passat V6.

Both the VW and Camry had less than 1,XXX miles when they were tested.

-I would think 44 hp and rwd would more than account for 400 lbs or... 32 hp would more than account for just a passenger weight difference(200 lbs).

Yikes!

With base price of $27,400 ($5,000 more than my equally quick V6 Stang) it's no bargain.

Pretty sick but there is little to no aftermarket for those cars. FWD sucks too. The more power you had the less you can hook up, unlike RWD that has solutions.

Your not looking at the big picture. People that buy camry's at least aren't really looking at track times. Passat's, maybe some, but my point is a camry and a passat are way more useful than your mustang and a camaro. They are family grocery getters. More room inside, more trunk space, smoother ride most likely since mustang and camaro suspensions are designed more for performance handling. So they are getting a more useful car for their money.

They dont really need that much straight line performance though. They probably should have slowed them down a bit in order to improve fuel economy, which is what those buyers want instead.
