And money??

Camaro is a Daily Driver. Never designed to be most luxury or to dethrone the vette.

A Major Goal and achievement are the prices.

Slapping a plastic cover is EZ$$ and functional fix. It does not hurt anything. Removed the engine is nice and tight. Hoses have covers. Wires have proper looms. Once you have wrenched on lot of GM V8's you see beauty not a mess.

Chevrolet makes working mans car. Audi is for people that file there nails ...

Only Audi I like are the ones warping past me in my rear view mirror.

Here's some Carbon fiber;

And one piece Carbon units;

And translucent powder coated Stainless Steel;

And last but not least, some cool looking red Carbon Fiber;

If you do like engine covers these are some good examples of what is being offered for the LS3 motors. And of coarse there are many more different types.

It costs absolutely no money whatsoever to route hoses and wires properly. I never said GM had to powdercoat every intake manifold and paint every valve cover, I was just using the S4 as more of a reference for a clean and tidy engine bay. Just a little extra effort on the part of the engineers to design the routing right and the assemblers to put it together right.

As far as Chevy being a working mans car, I'd rather their image be upscaled a bit. It needs it. The Camaro is the perfect car to do it.

yeah thats a great idea, upscale them to about 50 or 60k so no average people can afford a chevy even. You must be in marketing or maybe banking.

I'm o.k. with or without the cover, least until it gets in the way of any mods I'll be doing.

It would be so easy to get a mold of the oem cover and make your own out of plastic, fiber-glass, metal or carbon. Paint, clear-coat, modify the shape, size etc; really whatever you wanted to do with it. Or as mentioned before as an option, just toss it out with the bath water.

They will and that's what I'm going with. Did the same thing with my LS1 Camaro.

My LS1 doesn't have a cover. My LS3 doesn't need one either. If an engine that looks like an engine is too yucky for you, maybe you should consider a different car.

There are some wires and hoses visible which is to be expected, but they are neatly organized and look great..... that is the real intake manifold on there. The valve covers pop out at you. The only covers are the carbon fiber caps at the front and back of the engine.

Everything Audi does is a work of art
Then go buy a B7 RS4......for 60k. Christ people. It's a 35k car. Lets look into the engine bay of a comparable Audi.

The Audi A3, pretty much full loaded, costs 35k. Which is about what an RS/2SS Camaro costs. And this is what it looks like under the hood.

Oh look, a big grey plastic engine cover.

But wait, that's not an A4. Which is what you'd like us to compare too. So let's see.....a comparable A4 would be a base model 2.0T. That's about 35k. Let's see what you get under the hood....

ZOMG.....do you actually.....get what you pay for?
