Nitrous best setup?

Today i was looking at nitrousdave website and it seems his kits are overpriced?

Im looking for a nitrous kit or list of nitrous items to run the safest setup i dont want to go cheap but 1500 for the kit is too much....

From readin i know i need.
Window switch, bottle heater... What else do i need?
Also will hypertech tuner help in anyway? Im planning on running 75 to 100 shots

You will want a purge kit.

last i heard, hypertech doesn't have a nitrous tune. they can't retard the timing, which is needed for running higher nitrous. you will probably be ok at 75shot with no nitrous tune, but i would recommend a nitrous tune for a 100shot or more.

and it depends on what all comes with the $1500. if $1500 includes all the bells and whistles, ie bottle heater, window switch, maybe a remote bottle opener, pressure gauge, purge kit, etc, then that seems like a fair price.

i don't have a lot of experience with the different companies. I know ZEX is a popular brand. That's where i got mine. With the way nitrous works, i'm sure they are all about the same.

Other items you want: Blowdown tube and pressure gauge. And as Poor pointed out a pointed out a purge kit.

You can run the 75 with the stock tune just make sure you are using the highest octane available.

Thanks scrming. They sell gas race at the track. I will use that. Btw is mixing race gas with 93 octane bad.

lol, yeah...i don't have my setup listed anywhere. I've been meaning to get a member journal going for my car, just haven't had the time. I'm usually on c5 when i'm at work.

Anyway, I have this kit

http://www.zex.com/zx/nitrous-system...us-system.html

with a window switch added. Will be getting the bottle heater, remote bottle opener, blow down tube, and pressure gauge soon.

race gas will be a waste of money, unless you are tuned for it. Not sure if hypertech can do that either. lol i would contact them and see.

if not, then 93 is fine.
