How Many Are Going To Back Out...

Just wondering, how many of you guys are going to back out of the deal when you find out the real price of the ZL1? Will you just say, this is a rediculous price for a tarted up Camaro, when you could purchase a Z06 or perhaps a CTS V for a few more dollars. Don't get me wrong, I love my 2010 SS, but I don't know if I'm ready to spend this extreme amount of money for a Camaro.

If I get lucky and some how earn a financial promotion than what I'm earning now. I would do the opposite and trade in my 2010 SS for the ZL1. Why follow the Z06 & CTS-V foot steps when you can be a leader and step by step stomp on the gas of a ZL1.

Price point is not really my concern. I don't like the cts-v or the vette so if by chance I decided to not buy the zl1 I would then buy an SS camaro and have it done the way I want it.
Camaro was my first car and will always be my favorite car, I am building a garage purely for my camaro. Which plans are will be the zl1 but if things change I will still buy a camaro nothing else will do.

For me there is nothing else. I have kids so the Vette is out. I'm not a prep so the CTS-V is out. I want something that most nobody has that is bad to the bone. The ZL1 completly fits for me. So I'm sorry to say buy no matter what I'm getting that bad boy and never turning back, except to see a mustang of course.

I am often shocked and awed at the questions you ask. We don't know the price, but we do know that it will be competitive with the GT 500's price. If you'll pardon the obvious pun, 'father has never steered us wrong.

We are going into this with our eyes open, and we aren't a bunch of 16 year olds just dreaming. That isn't to say that I haven't been dreaming about this car my whole life, because I have.

I am by nature, very patient. I set a standard and will not settle for something less, even if that means I have nothing.

GM has exceeded my expectations.

ZL1 is everything I've hoped for.

...I'm sorry, what was the question?

I'll worry about that when the price is released. Until then, I'm living the dream.

I'm torn because I love my current SS so much, but the ZL1 is everything my SS isn't. Is it worth the 20 to 25 grand above the trade in $ i'll get for my SS, is the question especially since I have to have the same color - black!

I'd bow out of the 2012 run depending on the adjusted price and wait for a 2013 at MSRP or better. MSRP won't be the problem for most those on the list, but markups will be the tipping point for many.

I expect the price to be exactly what I have been saying it will be (52-56) anything more than that, and you will start seeing lots of people backing out. Then again, they might start backing out when the rest of the time specs come out?

I for one would never back out. I chose the Camaro because I like the styling and performance it offers. Why would anyone choose another car simply because the cost or performance is close to a different model. We are starting to sound like a bunch of Pansy on these threads.

Lets all start to act like the Men and Women that we are. Buy what you want because you want to. If you can't afford the vehicle then save up. If you think GM did you a disservice by pricing you out of the car and you're now going to a different maker then so be it. Maybe this wasn't the car for you. The beauty about this new muscle car era is there are so many options. What I like would be totally different than what you like. Buy from the heart an you'll never go wrong.

I think what you are missing is the fact that some people are not being "Priced out of a car" but rather asking themselves, "if the ZL1 will be in the $60K range, there ARE better all round cars to consider". You are over simplifying it just by assuming it's only about affording the car.

Maybe its just me then. I've personally never been "wishy washy" on things. When I like something I like it and go after it. I just think when you get a certain age you should be able to rule out all the B.S. and get what you want. We are all mature people here, so I thought. If theres a better car to get at the $60k range then go it. Why waste every bodies time complaining.
