If theres a better car to get at the $60k range then go it. Why waste every bodies time complaining.
Of course you can understand their reasoning? Why pay 63K for a Camaro with poor interior, when you can get a CTS-V for the same price?

The Camaro performs better than the CTS-V and that is the point of the car? Some people aren’t looking for a better ‘all around’ car.

The same could be said for any car and is entirely dependant on the preferences of the customer… Why pay $XXk for a XXXXX with poor XXXX, when you can get a XXXXX for the same price?

I can see that we are never going to agree on this issue Mr. Blaster5000. I enjoyed our conversation.

If buying a car is purely an emotional purchase, then buy what you want and damn the cost....But at least own up to that.

The rest of us that are logical have to somehow justify the cost of a car...Please dont hate us for that.

Sure it does. I agree. But if a Honda Civic runs faster than a Camaro, does that automatically mean it should cost more? No....it doesn't. But Gm will prove my point when they MSRP the ZL1 UNDER the CTS-V, because they understand my point. Performance is not the end all to car pricing.
If that was the case, the ZR1 would cost more than some Ferraris, but they DON'T because of quality.

Because the performance numbers are there. A few tenths at the strip and seconds on the road circuit. The ZL1 has so far beat the CTS-V on the ring right? And this was without excellent tires... Yes interior wise we are going to get criticized. But I'm not looking at the grain of the hard or soft plastics used nor am I worried about premium materials like burlwood, aluminum, and carbon fiber.

Like I said, GM will prove who is right in this discussion. IF the ZL1 MSRP's MORE than a CTS-V I will admit I was wrong.

The CTS-V is the same being that comparable cars are far more expensive. But since the Camaro out performs the CTS-V it's going to make the cars it is comparable to in a higher prices range..

And it all comes back to QUALITY, AMG>CTS-V
It really is that simple.

Honestly I have an open mind to 58k to 60k for this beast. If its anything less I will feel blessed.

I could see 60 for the vert. But that is still less than a CTS-V
