The Camaro has always been a blue collar car, I can't see it changing now.

What I am saying is that the ZL1 is faster, but NOT as high quality as the CTS-V, therefore will not price as much as one.
The 2013 GT500 runs 6 seconds faster than the ZL1 at the Nurburgring...does that mean that everyone here now thinks the GT500 should cost $100,000??????

Just because a car gets better over time, does not mean the price automatically goes up.
But, you are almost there
This was to be on par with was on the table, they were only trying to compete with the Camaro and SRT8. And the 100hp isn't going to give you a six second lead a nurburgring not in a GT500. The ZL1 is on par with the CTS-V, high end Porsches, and other cars that are way more money due to quality. I think you missed the part of me saying the price in the upper 50's but then again you responded by saying its still less than the CTS-V.

Me either.. But many people couldn't afford the ZL1 back in the day either. Yes blue collar heritage all the way and that's why we are lucky to have this car.

You DO understand the 2013 is rumored to have beaten the ZL'1 time by 6 seconds right?
The ZL1 is not even playing the same game as High End Porches, let alone being on par with them.
Everyone keeps comparing old lap times and thinking the ZL1 is a "Super Car" well guys, if the GT500 really did beat it by 6 seconds, all that BS just flew out the window.

Sheer numbers wise yes it is performing in similar manner. Now can you drive one to match a porsche well that's another question. As for the rumors we will have to wait and see, like I said I'm not disagreeing what so ever.

I would say that finishing just shy of a 100k 2011 Carrera S is pretty damn impressive. Of course that's just my opinion!

Mid 7's will always be impressive, especially for a Camaro. I do have a feeling that the 'Rings times will be getting quicker and quicker pretty soon though.

Competition has gotten us to where we are today so I'm all for a faster Mustang.
