A bit of advice for winter storage...

Mine will get a good detailing, get parked in the shop, have battery tender attached, dessicant packets in cabin and trunk, mothballs and mousetraps scattered about, steel wool in tailpipes and a car cover.
Yes, you can just park it and walk, it will be just fine. Those who feel better tucking their baby in and kissing it good night are sure welcome to go to whatever lengths they feel they must!

Mine's going in the garage, under cover with a battery tender. They most important item is not to start it up and let it run for 5 minutes and turn it off. If starting make sure everything gets up to full operating temperature.

I agree OP. Parked my '06 GTO in the garage for 3 winters with nothing but battery tender, Stabil in full tank (not convinced this is necessary, all my lawn tools start in the spring without it), aired up tires to 40, and threw a $20 Wally World cover over it. Never had a spec of rust underneath, fired right up in the spring, and tires quit thumping after about a mile. Doing the same to the Camaro this weekend for the 3rd winter. Do what you want to for piece of mind, but you really don't need to over think it. Also, for those of you who ask, "Why park it..it was meant to be driven"...Because I don't have to.

I need tips on how to not store my 45th for winter. I will be experiencing suburban Philadelphia as a daily driver. Coming from virtually snowless (thank you global warming) Atlanta, this is a new world for me.

The several inches of snow we got here last weekend even surprised the natives, btw.

A discharged battery will freeze. A frozen battery is ruined.

put tarp on garage floor, put Stabil in gas tank, fill gas tank, park camaro on tarp, pump tires to max PSI, pull battery and put on Tender, stuff tailpipes with steel wool, put Bounce dryer sheets in cabin and trunk, tie a string from the trunk release latch and run it to the front seat, make sure paint is clean, put cover on and forget about it until spring. thats how i do it...

If you pull the battery out and there's no load on it drawing down power, I would not leave it on a trickle charger continuously. A fully charged battery should maintain a charge for quite a while if at room temp.

I've never heard of that. But here's what I have experienced storing my motorcycles in the garage in N IL. During the Spring when the air temp starts to warm up and the ground is still cold, condensation occurs. Have you ever walked into your garage on a warmer early spring day and the floor is damp? Concrete is porous and some of that can be the moisture from the ground underneath, but the majority of it is from moisture in the air condensing on the cold ground. Just like a cold beverage glass in the summer.

I don't heat my garage but it is insulated and stays warmer than the outside temps. However, I will have moisture on the chrome wheels and other lower engine parts. If you don't keep that stuff polished you'll start to get corrosion. It happened to one of my bikes because I got lazy before I put it up for the winter.

So on the Camaro, I believe for the most part you have nothing to worry about except your rims,rotors, or any bare metal. Rotors are exposed bare metal, every notice how they tend to get surface rust after you wash the car? Chrome wheels I would consider fogging them with WD-40 or another protectant. WD-40 made a spray can specifically for spraying a wide pattern to "fog" the wheels on motorcycles.

This is not a one size fits all. Depending on where you store will make a difference in what you need to do. In my case, the Camaro sits on one side of a garage that is used all year around and so outside air (moist, cold, w/e) will constantly be drawn inside it. Just something more to think about.
