Al Oppenheiser

Al, I know it would be impossible to sign all of the 2012 ZL1s but if I wanted you to sign it under the hood, how would my dealer request this on my purchase before delivery?

Don't believe your dealer (or any dealer) could make that happen. Your best bet at getting his signature is to come to CFIII

That would be fine but I'm not planning on driving it for any long distance.

True but maybe by some organized way GM could set aside all of the signature request at the factory for Al to sign at one time.

He'd have to drive all the way to Oshawa to do that... just show up at C5Fest next year and get it signed there...

Yeah it's just a shot in the dark no big deal but that would be sweet to have it on there before I get the car.

No better time than the present, I know when Scott puts his signature on a Camaro it is dated for that day so if it's not signed early 2012 I don't think it would be as important to me.

I sent a thank you letter to the Camaro/Firebird plant after ordering my 2002 SS. A couple of weeks before the car got there, I got a package from FedEx. I ended up with pics of my car flanked by employees holding up a sign with my name on it, and a huge signed card (before my car ever got to the dealer), with a personal letter from the plant manager when my car was built. Kind of a very cool surprise. It may not have been Al's sig, but it was awesome, nonetheless. I never asked for it, but sometimes you never know what a kind word at the right time might bring in return.

THAT'S BAD @$$!!!I'd suggest contacting Mike Judge (Super60), here, and see if he has any ideas. If you ask nice enough, I'm sure he can get you some love from the Plant. You might not get something from Mr. O from Mike, but if there's a way, he might be able to think of something.
