Hey, manuals aren't for everyone. I do hear you lose a lot of hand-eye coordination when you get old, so don't be ashamed if you can't do it. You'll still be the faster geezer in the home!

Yes, the topic.... Is this a good place to talk about the 2012 steering wheels? God, those things are ugly...

There are applications where each has it's advantages... If you want to autocross or roadrace then a manual is probably faster. If you are drag racing then autos have proven to be faster.

I'd get a 2010 LS3. It's got the right steering wheel, the right transmission and it's a V8. Total win!

I got the auto..I know the feel and performance upshifting and downshifting the manual is the "real" sportscar experience. I, however, drive my car as a daily driver, through rush hour traffic and have two bad knees from high school football and marital arts. I have to say, however, that the experience is very close when in sport mode or when paddle shifting. There is something to be said, though, about ramming the stick into third and feeling the rear wheels cut loose.

I traded in my auto ls1 for the ls3 m6, IT WAS THE BEST DECESION I HAVE EVER MADE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nothing is better than shifting gears while listening to a ls3 exhaling through straight pipes! IMO
