I have done this a few time in the past. I bought my Chevy 3500 Duramax in Indiana and live in KY. I paid taxes when I registered the car in KY. The Dealer did not ask me to pay since I was out of State. I also bought a car in Tenn, in that case they collected KY 6% tax and handled registering the car for me. Either way you pay the tax for the state you register the car in.

Your freaking out is unwarranted. Steve is a straight shooter. My opinion of course. Ill be more than happy to come over with a baseball bat and freak out with you if something like that happened. Trust me; it won't.

I'm not man, but I just heard that little voice a few times that said is this all good? Kind of like Animal house with the Devil and Angle on your shoulder. lol

I think that is normal with a big purchase.

I went to the car show yesterday and we spent an hour with the Camaro's in NYC. The car is very close to the car I had alway built in my head as the my dream car.

I'm trusting Basil but I need to do it with cation as well.

I think thats a fantastic idea. That should benefit Us and Steve.

I'd just want to know my event status code, and where I stand in realtion to the other orders and the allotment each week. Does that make sense?

I'm glad I'm not the only one who has a slightly difficult time getting in contact with Steve. It's not bad enough to really upset me, but it can be an inconvenience sometimes...

Hey whats better? 500 over invoice? or the Credit Union discount Camaro Scotty discussed in another thread which I believe amounts to Supplier...

In your case I think it's the color. That would seem to make sense, after talking with people in GM the whole system of what and when is a very complex order system.

In my opinion, I believe that Steve's intentions are honorable. I didn't mean to imply otherwise. I think he's probably one of those guys that isn't very good at follow-up. Having said that, I find it difficult to spend 30K with someone that isn't very good at follow-up. I am also in sales and I'm extremely anal about calling my customers back and keeping them informed throughtout the entire process. I probably do that because that is the way I would like to be treated. I don't like waiting a week to get a question answered. That's why this process has dragged on for weeks. Now, I just don't feel comfortable pulling the trigger. In no way am I trashing Steve. I just don't have that warm and fuzzy feeling I need to spend 30K. I think I'm just going to wait a few months and either order after the hype has died down or buy one off the lot. PS... the dealer situation is not the only reason for that decision.
