9 days until I get my 45th Anniversary 2LT/RS. I'm driving with the top down for at least the first week - I don't give a damn how cold it is! ......Getting it in Florida, so it shouldn't be too bad....

I put mine up last Friday. My insurance drops down from Nov 1 to March 1, if I want to drive it during that time I need to call my agent.

We are planning on driving it to Florida Thanksgiving week. Then once I get home it will get washed and covered and garaged for the winter. The winter beater is ready in the driveway in case the weather does not cooperate with my plans.

Mercury Marine makes a good fuel stabilizer it has a #3 on it. Number 3 in there 3 different fuel treatments they make. Most late model Mercruiser motors are GM fuel injected. I know it works good as we winterize and store over 300 boats each year. You can also fog the motor with fogging oil to keep the upper end form getting any rust.

ALSO DON'T forget the MOUSE BLANKETS!!!
Put dryer sheets (those smelly sheets with softener on them) inside car, under hood and trunk. This will keep mice away from your car or anything else you are storing for the winter. Don't put them on the seats or dash as they can leave a stain. If you put them under hood, leave a note tied to the steering wheel so you don't start motor with them under hood.

I need to get a small condo with garage in Myrtle Beach or Florida & store the car there next year. Then I can go there whenever I want to drive it.

Ok, back to reality. Storing once the snow is permanent here in NE. Not doing stabil since I plan on starting it an running to operating temp, and around the cul-de-sac, at least once a month if the roads are clear.

I fill your pain as well. I purchased my convertable on 9/24 and I also have a permagrin. At least I had one until I put mine in storage last Saturday. I am counting the days until May as well. nothing like a awsome Red convertable to make you feel young again. Fortunatly I haven't had any issues with my Camaro as yet.

I have a garage under the house that I use for storage as I have to drive over the lawn to get in, no driveway. The 68 Camaro went to sleep about a month ago the 11 will be in behind it shortly. If I'am lucky I'll be able to get the cars out in April. Once it snows and the plow goes by they are snowed in. Last year in April I wanted to get the 68 out and there was so much snow on the side of the street I had to use my loader to clear the snow out of the way.

Yea - it dropped to 58 yesterday - I can hardly put the top down....

Seriously, I hate to put it down cause it makes those marks more prevalent. But all the rest of the issues - I haven't had any of them. I do have trouble keeping 36 PSI in the tires. i have that nitrogen stuff and just as soon as i have the dealer top it off to 36, it goes back to 33 and stays there. Since i can now monitor tire pressure, i'm more paranoid about it.
