It's a fad and will like all fads, it will fade away.

The havoc wheels are a black chrome. Black gloss or black chrome look great... but anything less than that matte or flat, does look dirty to me. I am struggling with this as well to find something that matches IBM... not easy to do.

hate to be the one to break it to all of the black rim owners out there, but if you have black rims and your friends/family/coworkers know that you have black rims, if you ask them if they like the black rims, they are most likely going to say yes as to not offend you. go do a poll with people that don't know you or your car, and people that aren't car enthusiasts, and see your results. i get that car enthusiasts like it because it's different, but these days everyone is doing the black wheel thing, and as baby02 says, it's overdone and will be out of style before long. it's already worn out its welcome on people like baby02 and myself.

Hmmm, I have never had friend or foe tell me how much they like my car and then tell me but not the black wheels.

LOL you're right! I'm not worried about whether she likes them or not. I was just using her point to get everyone else's opinions...which have been really interesting!!

To other posters.....How are black wheels a fad? I'm not sure I know how black wheels would be a fad. Black wheels haven't been around for that long? I understand that they might be more popular now, but nobody used to have them on their cars before when? Honestly, I'm not, nor have I ever been, much of a "car" guy so I wouldn't know anything about this. Before recently wheels on cars have only been chrome, polished, silver?

Either way.....I see sooooo many 5th gen Camaros with the chrome or silver OEM wheels that it's a pleasant sight to see something different. There are so many "cookie cutter" Camaros (BTW I like that look also, but like I said, soooo many of them out there now) that any kind of change to the wheels....including black ones.....make the Camaro stand out just a little.

I know none of you guys are hating...neither am I....I like to hear your opinions as well as give mine.
