I don't get the impression that it's as hit or miss for the v8. Even a stock ss sounds badass. I was kinda shocked that my buddy told me my car sounded sweet when I passed him the other day. It's still the stock exhaust for the next few days, I think it's way too quiet. The cold air intake must of helped, the engine sounds much better with it.

Installed my MRT 2.0 today. So far, I like it. Drone is there at low rpm, but minor. What I like about it is that it's quiet at idle, rumbles at startup, not annoyingly raspy like some exhausts I've heard and, when you want sound, it delivers. Its definitely acceptable for an every day driver. If you want more noise then of course get the 1.0. I'm still lining my trunk with FatMat anyway, so we'll see how that goes.

Had my MRT 2.0 installed this morning. I totally agree with everything said in the previous post. It really is a great sounding exhaust for these V6 engines.

Not TRUE. I have beaten the same guy who runs a SOLO exhaust and the K&N intake every time we have raced at the track.......

I am running the MRT 2.0 and INJEN.

Score stands 8 - 0 over three different dates.

I'm still trying to eliminate/decrease some drone with the 2.0 though. It's obviously not there all the time, just certain instances. I've already lined my trunk with FatMat, helped a little but I'm getting more because I didn't have enough for my trunk lid and around the rear speakers. I understand members recommend eliminating the resonator, but I really don't want to do that and getting headers, but after the MRT, I can't afford that right now. So, it's the FatMat at this point. Any recommendations on where else to put it? I want to do behind my back seat, the part thats in the trunk, but it's all fabric.

exhaust for v6

I tried the Flowmaster American Thunder # 817483 axle backs on my 2011 convertable, but they were too loud for my taste. I couldn't hear my radio.

Thanks! Great price and awesome sound too. So nice to step on it and hear the exhaust but then when you get off it nice to hear the stereo and have a conversation.

I heard an exhaust last night I loved! So I decided on the ARK exhaust. I want the N-II slant tips, but worried about sound after BBK LT w/High-Flow cats because the N-II doesn't have resonators. The DTS ARK exhaust has resonators, but I don't like the tips. I prefer the slant tips.
The jpipes are not hot. No gases pass through them . They will get warm but you can wrap your hand around them while the car is running. Hope that helps.
DT-S is on the way. Yippee!!!

In some ways I agree. I love the 7000 RPM redline. My car up around 4000 RPM at part throttle sounds better than just about any V8 at any RPM. I did have a 64 F100 shortbed with a 429 Boss in it and the tailpipes came out underneath each door. Driving around with the windows down was intoxicating. That's what my Camaro does to me.
