Lake Quinault

I just noticed that I didn't see a Lake Quinault trip happen this year. Shame...last year, even though it rained there...it was awesome!

Is that Crescent Lake, or "Lake Crescent"? I don't' know what it's actually called, but the area is absolutely beautiful. Driving SR-112 and some of the backroads along the strait are seriously fun. I've only done it in a Jeep, though...I'm afraid of what I might do if I brought the Camaro! It's literally hours of throwing the car into turns.

It's what this car was built for

I think technically it's Lake Crescent, but I've heard it called both ways.

If you really want to have fun, head west past Lake Crescent, and turn right on 113 to take the road to Neah Bay. Fun twisties and you can head out and hike to Cape Flattery & Hole in the Wall.

Sorry, Lack of funds and time. Hell, I've put less than 7800 mile on my car this year. The only trips I've done was Winthrop and then I went back to Eastern WA with my dad and thats it. Too many other brands in the fire.

I've done it twice in the past year.

Once in a Chevy Colorado (zzzzzz)
and once in a Jeep Wrangler (zzzz bounce bounce bounce zzzz).

I need to do it again in the Camaro this coming spring/summer. And yes, the 112/113 routes are devilishly fun, and it's lightly patrolled and lightly traveled on the right days of the week. It looks like there's a lot of logging activity up there, but I've always gone in the late fall or late winter, and that doesn't seem to be an issue.

I love the hike down to Cape Flattery. It's got that "edge of the world" feeling to it.

I need a good cruise so my ECM can learn it's new tune for the supercharger. December 4th is the Pacific Raceway toy drive / car show. I plan on going if weather permits.
