"OIL SEEPAGE", Dealer says don't fix! Advice????

Dealer says it's an "oil seepage" and they will not fix it and do not recommend any other dealer fixing. I have taken car in 3 times for (what I call) an oil leak in oil pan and oil cooler. The dealer did replace the oil cooler gasket and it helped a lot! Now I have three distinct leaks coming from the pan gasket. The largest on the passenger side, the medium size on the rear of the block, and the smallest just above the oil cooler. The dealer says, one, its not dripping so its not a leak worth warranting. They say, second, even it was dripping a little I'm better off just wiping it off. They say it will cause more problems to fix it than its worth (dropping suspension, cradle and reassemble) I did call GM Customer Service and have a pending case. They said take to it another dealer and get second opinion...But if the second dealer says its not a leak then it will not be fixed and my case will be closed. So far I'm not impressed with GM, they are just calling the dealer and backing the dealer's decision.
My questions:

Those who have had their pan fixed, did it create other problems?

Is this an oil leak?.....pics attached (GM Customer Service would not accept the pictures when I offered to send them)

Please give me some advice.....

No fluids at all are suppose to leak from any vehicle. Your dealership is STUPID. Stop going there and find a new one.

That is not seepage, that is a leak.

Eh, I'm really lienient. I'd probably leave it but that's me. I know some people get way carried away about stuff.

My heated seats work sometimes... sometimes they don't.
My AC gurgles
My iPod jack sucks

I know I could have it all fixed but... eh, I just don't care enough to I guess. I love the car for what it is... a fast, loud, rough, noisy muscle car. A few things here and there... whatever. But, again that's me. I don't stress over stuff. If was dripping or ever low, I'd get it fixed but how it is.... I'm not sure.

EDIT... After looking again... I think I'd want that addressed. It is pretty bad. You can see oil buildup in the bolt.

My advice?

Off-the-record, get several dealers in the area to look at it until one agrees with you that it's a problem.

Don't ask if it's worth fixing...Tell them you see a problem with the engine and ask if it's covered under warranty to fix it.

Did you cite your previous repair with customer service?

Yes, when I called customer service they wanted my version of the what the dealer had said....I'm really curious if anyone who has had their pan fixed has experienced new problems from all of the dismantling and reassembly?

I've never had it fixed...but it sounds to me like the service rep just wanted to save his department some intensive work...if they take their time and do it right, there should be no issues....and if there are, I HAVE to believe they'd be easier to live with than leaking gaskets/seams/whatever is doing that...

I see this on almost half of the Camaro's that come through our shop. In every case they have been fixed by the dealer under warranty... I suggest you find another dealer. I've seen oil cooler (which you had fixed), oil pan and rear main seal. There is no excuse for that and it should be fixed.

Kind regards,

I'm in Afghanistan, so fortunately my wife took my car in. The dealer found all three leaks mentioned by Jordon. The dealer gave her a brand new Cadillac as a loaner, told her it would, "take a while and we'll call you when it's buttoned up because we don't want to rush the technician since this is a big job." They did drop a subframe, the oil pan, etc and did a good job. The only thing they did was pro-rate the oil covered under warranty, so out of the 8 qts to replace we paid for 2 or something similar.

Rear main seals are a huge deal. Do not let this go. Get it covered under warranty now, or you'll really regret it later. And yes, it is a big job. Go to a dealer that has a good service department that will treat you right (which excludes David J Phillips in Laguna Nigel, CA). Paradise Chevrolet in Temecula was awesome for all the work they did and how easy they made it on my wife.

UPDATE: GM Customer Service has been wonderful to work with.....second dealer installed dye, I drove the car, dealer found the leak and fixed it. Mica at GM Customer Service has done everything she said she would. Believe me if she says she's going to call you, she does! I recommend if your having dealer issues, change dealers and don't hesitate to call customer service. It felt good driving the Camaro and not worrying about oil issues.
