I'm also in mid-40's. My advice would be to go with what you really want. IMO would also be a very cool color. I have not yet ordered. Will need to first test drive to be sure my bad back can handle the ride. But I REALLY want to get one, if possible....My ultimate hope would be to just drive it May thru Oct, and have a beater for winter months. (I hope to see few on streets before ultimately deciding on color)

Congrats on being priority one! As far as 7 weeks, I'm not sure? There are others here who are more expert at answering that question. If you check the ordering thread, might be someone who can help you there.

Ok this has probably been asked before but, is this blue the same EXACT blue they used on the '69? Is it taken fromt he same color code?

nah its DEFF not...but a question i had that ive been 4getting to ask for a LONG time now...chevy's ABM isnt the same as porsches right? cuz i see this abm porsche everyday and im in love with the blue...in some pics it looks the same but never seen the slightest bit of green on the porsche...even in the rain on a real gloomy day! always bright blue

I don't think it's the same. I just Googled the Porsche ABM though, and if they had that color on the Camaro, I wouldn't think twice about keeping the ABM.

I went to my dealer to finalize my order that is going in tomorrow, they have a ABM HHR sitting right in the front entry outside. I think if you like blue it is a great choice. Finally the countdown begins for me!!

porsches abm looks like the blue in the mid pic of my signature...and the third one to the right...these 3 pics in my signature are all sweet ass hell tho...but if my camaro looks anything like the color on the hhr im gonna cry! and im coming for all you guys!

ok now heres abm on a colorado...





ABM seems to look alot better on the colorado then the hhr...although it looks a lil like it does on the hhr in that last pic of the colorado

im begining to think this color is diff on every vehicle! some with more blue and some with more green...even tho i seen the hhr in person and i seen it in bright sun light and i saw the bright blue...i still seen a lil being of green where the curves to the car were...but on alot of these camaro pics i seen NO green AT ALL! heres and example of the jeckyl hide thing im talkin bout on the HHR...

Well, no matter what you do, you can't make an HHR look good

I think the most green we'll see is like the one in the first pic of your sig. But with the amount of blue we've seen in all of the ABM Camaro pics, I mean come on... it's got to be blue

But that is a different story as well, because some car companies mess with black by adding yellow or blue or geeen. Stupid, yes, but these are college educated "art" students not auto paint specialists. Anyway, ABM is a unique color....you must understand that this color has pearl in it and that changes the hue in sunlight, and cars like the Camaro or Colorado pickup look great in this shade because it highlights style lines. The HHR is a round shape, so this color is not as definitive on that car. ABM...a color for those who have discriminating tastes.

Rally, I agree with you 100% about ABM on the Camaro vs the HHR. The Camaro looks great in this color in person. Being a novice, in your opinion what is it about/in pearl that makes it so different?
