I purchased four new Winter Pirelli's with Wheels and TPMS sensors from tirerack.com and had them installed this morning. Now MY TPMS idiot light is on and its getting no info from the sensors.. What do I need to do in order to fix this?

You need the tool described in this thread.
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...ight=tpms+tool I had the same issue with mine, new tires/wheels. Even the dealer couldn't make it work the old "manual" method.

Stop by your dealer and they should be able to make things right in just a few min.
These days it takes a special hand-held device that is not cheap. The dealer puts the TPMS system into learn mode, and holds the device next to each wheel in sequence. Simple, quick, and most dealers won't charge you a dime for doing it. Mine didn't. |

you can also check your owners manual, it tells you how to reset them.

Not if it's a late model 2011 and later.

I have a mid/late model 11 and can reset the TPMS sensors fine. What doesn't work about it on the later ones? Do they not go into the "learn" mode?

Easiest way to see if it will work on your model is to check your owner's manual. Cars requiring the tool will no longer have the manual method published. My manual specifically says the GM tool is required and the section about the manual relearn was deleted (I had a 2010 2LT and it showed the manual method). My dealer did my winter wheel swap. They didn't even realize the change. When they reset it manually, the horn honked as appropriate but never matched the sensors. All seemed fine but as soon as I shut the car down and then restarted it later in the day, I got the TPMS error. Then did my research and realized the change. I bought the tool so I can do this myself in the future.

I was able to get the TPMS to relearn on my dad's 45th anniversary doing the manual method.
If you press and hold the set/clear button it will go into relearn mode, but seriously, have all caps removed from your tires, and either get some help or prepare to run to each tire. Use a small screwdriver or a key and let out about 5 seconds of air on the tire needing to be learned (the turn signal light will be on for that tire. It goes drivers front, passenger front, passenger rear, and ending with drivers rear) First attempt failed for me on my dads car. The second attempt was fine, but I had to run to each tire. The LS wheels and all seasons have been set since before Thanksgiving.
