That was my concern after I bought the car and I have my mirrors very well and am so used to it now. I feel like I have normal sized windows and when I drive other cars it seems liek the cars all glass

The "blind spots" are not that bad at all. Easy to get use to. All cars have them even the AMC Pacer, aka "Fishbowl". Anyone else remember these?

All it takes is a week or two and you find out where the blind spots are. All you need to do is adjust your side mirrors. If that doesnt work for you then hey maybe this car isnt for you but really dont see that happening. Come on its not Rocket Science.

When I first drove the camaro, it was like driving a chopped car, you get used to it quickly, you learn to use the mirrors and adjust your seat.....

Don't kid yourself, visibility is poor, whether it's front, rear or side. You can adapt, and as mentioned above, setting your mirrors correctly is important (lots of people do not do this). You are going to have to be extra careful though, I'm sure there are careless people getting away with more, but the visibility is not great. You might even be tempted one day to merge without checking everything or while concentrating on the wrong source. Sure, you may not have any blind spots, but you might be concentrating on the wrong area and the overall visibility isn't great enough to activate your peripheral vision (even though you may be seeing him there). I can think of lots of cars that are better...but that's the price you pay for it's looks. I can live with it and adapt to it, but I try to be careful as well. I studied ergonomics in automobiles as part of master's degree.

So completely true. I never had my mirrors set correctly before I got this car and never realized it because I could do an over the shoulder check. Impossible to do in the Camaro so you have to rely soley on your mirrors. If you are not used to doing that, it can be weird at first, but I now do it in every car I drive (with the mirrors now set correctly there too, of course). Point is, you will get used to it. Just like you'll get used to having permagrin.

totally agree about the mirrors. The car would have blind spots but the mirrors are so well done it's not really an issue at all. Use the mires and some common sense and it's fine.

Somewhat true.

My mirrors are set properly, but I have had a situation a couple of times which CAN happen, even if the mirrors are set right.

If I'm on the freeway in traffic (rush hour) in the left lane, and want to pull into the middle lane. I always check the mirror and look over the shoulder. If a car is in the rightmost lane and an angle blocked by the rear right pillar, you can't see him in the mirror....or at least, you don't see him in the middle lane because he's not there yet. If he's going faster and pulls into the center lane, he can stay behind that pillar and be blocked. So, you won't see him unless you look over your shoulder and check the mirror a second time while changing lanes.

I've had to abort my lane change a few times now when this has happened. I would have hit if I just went like I thought it was clear.
