On the back of a 87 Yamaha FZ while holding a Coors light party ball off to the side the last I saw was 145mph. In a 77 Trans Am with a 454 I just remember the needle was pegged and I was still glued to the seat. My buddy pulled over to wait for the cop to catch up and then did it again. They were all over that car there after. Last time I ever rode with him. He ended up with a new paint job when he got rear ended by a cop after stopping suddenly on a 1 lane bridge because "your honor there was a squirell on the road" Local PD paid for the body work and paint. Much nicer care after that! 20 years ago and the cars in shambles these days but still under cover in his driveway. Engine sitting on a stand in the garage last I saw.

yeah i've had a couple of those, the worst was one morning the officer that pulled me over called my dad who was at the Police Memoral in san diego one day, needless to say it wasn't good when he got back in town...

it's great having a dad thats a lt. cuz i don't get tickets but sometimes the punishment is worst

150ish was no prob in a 95 Z28.

135ish in a 1981 Z28. I had the tack buried in the red line for almost a minute racing a Trans Am on 495 East LIE. Then I sucked a valve and blew the motor. Almost died. Heard a huge boom, whole car shuddered, cabin filled with smoke and couldn't see. Had to manually roll down the window to get smoke out. The good part was I tossed the 305 for a nice worked 350. :-)

i did 135 on the way home at 4 am in jan, and blew a head gasket... it was worth it though a least I dident fall asleep at the wheel which was what I was trying to avoid.

68..140 plus, in a line of 6 of us on the Hot Rod Power Tour last year in Kansas.

I had a turbo charged 1991 Geo Storm (had some work done to it) i put it to 164 before I blew the head straight through the hood of the car on 405 through Renton, WA..

'Did 160 (indicated, that's as high as the speedo would read) in my G35 coupe late one night just to see if it could get there, among other reasons, but won't get into those... Didn't feel the urge to do it again after that.

In Ontario if you're caught 50 KM over the limit (or maybe it's 55) it's a automatic "street racing charge" which sounds bad enough on it's own. But part of the penalty is they crush your car. I don't know the details (success rate at fighting it, etc.) but I'm not joking.

So with that said.... let's do this: 123 MPH (on the gun) on my Dad's Yamaha Apex snowmobile (no one's posted one of those yet). Took 2nd place at the radar run that year.

Well, while I can't touch some of the speeds out there, I did do 110 in a '76 Ford Pinto, and yes, it was downhill!!!
