This has probably been asked before but here it goes . With the 25mm insulator can you still use the engine cover or does it no longer fit because the manifold is to high?

Mods on V6 are: K&N cai with washer bottle delete, BBK longtube headers with High flow cats, Trifecta tune (on the way) and muffler delete.

So maybe I missed it, but did the performance differ based on the thickness of these insulators?

The only other dyno with smaller insulator is the one I did with 18mm and high flow's stg-3 ported intake manifold. On that dyno day I was not able to get the updated tune from vince in time so I went in with screwed up AFR but was still able to pull 20ft lb of tq. I believe there is a difference in the torque band as the runner get stretched.

I have a dyno day coming up with vince sometime next week to finalize some new goodies that we been working on for the last month and a half so I should have some fresh numbers very soon also

Reason I ask is because of Tracy's 9.75 mm spec. If you are gettin 20 lbs off of a 18 mm, than it wouldn't be much of a 9.75 mm insulator right?

Got to be happy with the improvements hapisok

I don't doubt that if the time is taken to revise the ECM calibrating in particular cam overlap, that improvements will be had across the board

im still waiting on my tune update for E85 which sshould smooth out any inconsistencies/changes created by the addition of the 25mm insulator. hoping to have results in the 290's...

this by far has been the best mod per dollar.
