It does not calculate a volume. None of the PCM's function is based on volume... Not even volumetric efficiency anymore. It is all based on mass of air and mass of fuel. The air moving over the mass air sensor element causes a frequency to be generated. This frequency has a table where people are able to assign air flow values to to the various set points.

Calibrating the MAF means properly assigning airflow values to frequency labels in the tune.

I should have a Vararam showing up for my 2011 V6 manual trans. Hopefully I made the right CAI choice. What is the proper way to "break in" or "learn" the Vararam after it is installed. I have no intentions on getting a tune as this is the only mod I am doing....wife's car!

When I get mine it will be game on with mods!

Hello, I just read the thread regarding the SLP LT header exhasut. I have recently installed SLP exhaust with the LT headers. Do I have to tune my engine afterdoing this? If not will I really see the 26RWHP the advertise?? I also installed a cold air induction system, will I realy see the 16 RWHP they advertise or is this all hopeful in best case scenario? Will I get CEL from these new changes without a tune on the car. I also have not reinstalled the black cross member under the pipes due to pipes being low. Will this hurt anything???? Thanks for help

Being that this is a old tag... hopfully some one will see this and can send me some advice. Im looking for a tuner or programmer... preferably one that is in the plug-N-play area that dose not require alot of smarts. One that will be able to put out the most pwr/trq without damaging my drive train or suspension. I can only prchase a product in the $400 range. The mods that I curently have are K/N typhoon CAI, pacesetter L/T, pacesetter perf.cats, and muffler deletes. thus so far I have had no CEL, no performance issues and currently based off of my responsible driving I get 20.8 MPG in city (yes it is 2SS).

Thank you,
Rick
