I wish the weather "people" knew when it was going to snow around here!! Leaving work yesterday (not happy).......... heading back for the garage.

UGH!!! they are the only people who can screw up constantly and still keep their jobs lol.

Worst situation for me was last year.....went to make a brief court appearance maybe out for an hour.... sunny and around 40 degrees, but the next day it was supposed to snow like hell.... DelDot sprayed the roads with brine solution. "Hey, why are the roads wet? then I could see the windshield getting white spray on it. F---! salt bath for about 2 miles. I was not happy.... washed the car the day before when it was like 50 out and having to wash it again (by hand) in the upper 30's to 40 degrees was not fun. I feel your pain.

You want to stay away from that new sh$t they put on the roads when it's wet the day/hours before the snow starts . I was glad to get home before the roads were treated. Going to wash her on Thursday (going to rain tomorrow) before it gets too cold again. SPRING PLEASE.......half way there!!!!!
I've been through this with my 4th Gen ........ not fun!!

I went through this with my 4th Gen ...... always needing new tires. How many miles do you have on your car? I tried different tires on my 4th Gen and always had issues..... that's performance for ya!!! I'm NOT swapping them out for the Winter tires.

On my first set of Pzeros. Im at ~27,500 (daily driver bought in summer of 10'). I have 4 new Gmax tires sitting at home. Was trying to wait till 30K to switch them out but i might just do it in the next 2 weeks!

Yeah... it was fine driving home, just don't like to get caught in it and/or get salt or sand on her. If I had known, it was going to SNOW, I would have worked from home. There wasn't any snow predicted on that day. I need a "beater car".

Drove mine every day since September 2009. That stuff on the road is not as big a deal as people make it out to be (there would be millions of repair lawsuits). To each their own though.

Haha yea, I been DDing the TA for 6 years now. Only have gotten stuck once and have had no accidents. All you gotta do is use some common sense and snow is super easy to drive through.

Yea that's what I meant in my post. There was no salt down so I didn't

No it's not a huge deal, but it does take a toll and cause premature corrosion.

Yeah, but even still we're talking about YEARS of uncorrected contact. Not plausible. Odds are if you're driving in their saline snow mix, you're also driving in regular rain; which means even if for some reason you hadn't washed your car in the several years required to cause such damage, the very next rain would have rinsed enough of the saline/sodium from the car to have diminished that risk to an almost unmeasurable amount.

Only point I care to express is that one doesn't have to lose sleep over driving in the stuff or keep their car garaged if they don't want to.
