Don't forget the 2 horzontal and one vertical way in the back, Mach.
I think those gotta come out too.

Still just "eyeballing it". Think I might fab a couple of brackets so I can retain those anchor points in the back after I raise it.

But except for the knuckle busting on those back bolts, I think you're right- should be pretty straight forward install.

I'm off work next couple of days and the wife's in a pretty good mood, so I'm gonna try to start on it tomorrow.

Nah, told her this part was a Christmas gift from our daughter. I'd been "discouraged" from spending more on the LLT!

To her credit, the wife's been telling me "just get a V8!" for 18mos.

She's the best!!

O.K. Got a start on the install today and figured afew things out.

4 of the 5 stock bolts on top (the ones inside the steel cover) are 135mm.

The odd one down front is 120mm. This makes the 5th new long bolt (155mm), too long.

However, you can re-use one of the stock long bolts here instead (gives you about 1/4inch to screw in), or do what I did and cut 1/2inch off the new long bolt. Everybody with me?

The vertical bolt all the way in the back is 100mm stock (all these bolts are the same size- thank you GM- just different lengths), but after you raise an inch, you can now use the orig. front bolt (120mm) all the way in the back.

So now you've got 6 attachment points and I think if you really wanted to, you could make a couple of brackets (think "figure 8" shape) and attach those horizontal bolts back on too!

My gasket is curing, and if the wife is still speaking to me, I'll try to confirm all this tomorrow.

Thanks Hapisok for recommending a trial fit before install

One last thing- those "knucklebuster bolts" on the back are a piece of cake if you've got a set of racheting box wrenches with the swivel head. Made it really easy.
I grabbed some on sale before Christmas at Sears (GearWrench brand I think). It would be worth it to pick some up before this install. They're all 13mm.

They have a website I just checkout out but I couldn't find the LLT insulator.

How does this insulator work with port matched manifolds? Is the insulator port matched?
