That is incredible...the power of E85 and the insulator combined = huge HP and TQ numbers.

Bmorecam...that really really sucks about your cable not working, as I was looking forward to your results too!

I just wish we could see your numbers on normal dynojet as a comparison!

The last time I spoke with my dyno op at SRT, he told me that he usually see his 248x read about 5-8% lower than other smaller dynojet at other shops. Looking at other members 248x dyno numbers here, it look like that's about right if you consider the fact that a correct rwhp number for manual should be around 260 and for auto 250 for stock cars. Last time when we was still working on E85, I pulled 284rwhp and 244rwtq but laid down 13.5@104 with something like 1000DA. I don't think I could have pulled that with only 284rwhp/244rwtq with this heavy ass car LOL. These things are just a little confirmation to let me know how much lower the dyno I use read.

What I would really like to do is to get back on the track again and see where I am currently with my latest mods/tune and without E85. First day of test and tune is march 4th so it's only right around the corner Early march around here should still feel very cold and the DA should be very low.

I should be on the dyno hopefully sometime next week with vince so hopefully I will have a surprise bag for everyone

i know right! when he posted that pic i was like WTF!... but now i have something to look forward to next week and wasn't over shadowed by jay. you've done some great work bro. i'd like to get on a dyno jet too, just for comparison between the two. the guys at my shop are pretty spot on and no 2 dyno's will ever read the same...but i think it would be interesting none the less.

to next week!...

with your new avatar...do you have another upgrade planned?

uhhh huhh

you are on the top of the non FI list currently at 289rwhp!! aaron, the king of n/a LOL!! I am just waiting for you to get me the actual rwtq so I won't have to insert another ??? under your tq and I can update the list along with few other numbers from other member. I think you are in the high 260's though looking at the graph. Impressive indeed.

At least I am glad that my tactrix box didn't get messed up while I was at the dyno. That would of been not good lol. Got one on the way as we speak so we should be good to go by next week. Fingers crossed

Got the Lingenfelter 3.91 that I was going to use with the n/a project, but it look like it might be in the for sale section depending what I am going to do by summer as we talked about.. decision, decision... after we finish with this tuning I think I am going to just sit back and do some saving.

yeah...that would have been a bummer to find out its not connecting once your at the dyno. i would have had an aneurysm followed by a brief breakdown of in the corner. drying my tears with shop rags.

unfortunately today was a late day at work so no go on the true TQ numbers...im about to break out my protractor and get nitty gritty with it...i'll let you know what i find.

edit...

looks close right around 265 +/- 1

That's close enough

Michael, if you can't do 1/4 mile run then a dyno is the next best thing. It should give you a nice ballpark figure.

def do it if you can

Looking forward to seeing those results as well and the details on your current mods!!

In the mean time, I finally got a day off work and a chance to drive. Got about 100miles on the spacer now.

Couple of observations: 1) This engine keeps feeling bigger.
2) It's getting really hard to drive this car without reflecting "anti-social behavior"!

anyone with an injen long tube intake get a 25mm insulator yet? i was thinking about it, and am wondering if this would still work. the injen is connected to a subframe to help keep it from moving around. wasn't sure how raising it an inch would affect it, if at all. i'm assuming that you would no longer be able to support it, using the same hole, or maybe need to find some different hardware.

i'm talking about that little bracket piece that sticks out.

Hapisok is using the injen with 25mm. I am also using AEM brute force intake with the 25mm which is the only other long tube cold air intake just as same as the injen with no problem.
