Make it the law that windows must be rolled down before the officer approaches the vehicle, tint problem solved.
So how do you expect to roll down a rear window?

You've got to pay to play. I'm in 'Bama and went legally dark. If you knowingly went darker you had to expect to get a ticket someday, even if it is years later. Law is the law.

Don't think is was the tint but the tinted windshield! Don't even know why you would do that, it is illegal in most states and just gives them reason to look for more chit....

The tint laws are strict on the front windows not the back. Most states don't give a rats ass about the rear windows.

Ask yourself if you can be seen through the windows or not. If the popos can make you out from the next lane, generally you have nothing to worry about. Only when you're completely obscured does it become really risky.

My 35% (5% rear) tint keeps the car fairly dark, but all I have to do is slide the baffle back on the sunroof, and poof- I'm visible from the outside. I noticed you have a hardtop car, so I'd def go with something a bit lighter.

Camaro is a high profile car- especially now, while it's still the new kid on the block. The fuzz will be looking at you more closely than the Silverado next to you.

I remember when I had my Maxima I had 3% and each time I saw a trooper I rolled the windows down even if it was 10 below...

Now I don't care.

Most states post their regulations regarding the percentage of tint you can have. Here is what I found for the state of Alabama:

Window Tint Law
All vehicles registered in the state of Alabama must comply
with Alabama window tint law, Act 96-534, which was
effective August 15, 1996
Only the upper six inches of the front windshield may be tinted. All other windows
may have tinting that allows as least 32 percent light transmission, with a 3 percent tolerance for error. Reflective material may not reflect more than 20 percent of light.

And DEFINITELY ditch the windshield tint. Seriously man, that's just begging for it.
