Help matching headers with exhaust..

I have a Corsa Exhaust System part #14952 (straight through 2.5 inch nonrestrictive pipe catback with 4 inch tips)

My question: When ordering headers, how do I know what matches to what size wise 1 3/4'' , 1 7/8'' etc.? I do not understand what to look for in regards to matching the Corsa Catback exhaust with headers and do not know if I need to buy a Catted Connection Pipe? Do I need to purchase high flow cats or anything else with this Header upgrade?

I hate to hinder all of you who know so much about our Camaro engines with such menial questions, perhaps we all have our specialties.

Btw: I am wanting to go with Kooks headers, ARH seem to have problems some say..

I will most likely need a tune down the road, so if anyone has a suggestion or lives in NC and knows a shop please inform me.
Please help!!

Those will fit. The corsa exhaust is the same size as the stock, and the site says "The optional connection pipe (with or without catalytic converters) creates a complete path from the header collector to the OEM exhaust and is recommended for an easier, clean installation when remaining with a factory style exhaust routing."

You said those will fit, I listed two different sizes. Can anyone give me the dimensions I need from Kooks and ARH for longtubes attaching to a 2.5 inch Corsa Catback?

Buy 1 7/8" headers. 1 3/4" are a waste. These motors love to breath!

The different sizes are for the primaries (the tubes coming off of the head). The primaries all come together at the collector which is 3". The primaries and connector are all one piece, commonly called a header..... see picture below:

Get 1 7/8 unless you are planning on going for more than 600 rear wheel horsepower (cam and supercharger down the road). If that's the case, go for 2". There is no good reason to go 1.75" since the 1.875" are only $14 more and you get more hp. You'll want the catted option to keep down on the fumes while idling and at least kind of meet emissions requirements.

You don't NEED a coating. Mine are uncoated. Coating is for looks only. Be aware that if you don't coat, the primary tubes will turn a deep purple/bronze color. Some guys don't like this. No one ever looks at mine so I don't really care and would rather spend the price of coating on things that actually matter. Your choice.

Last advice: call and haggle. The internet price is never the "real" price. Go for $100 off and see what they say. If they won't come down, try this place: http://marylandspeed.com/kooks-long-...11-p-2674.html.

Oh, and the car is going to be a LOT louder. And you'll get a check engine light until you tune.

Coating is also nice for reducing underhood temps. Mine are coated and still look great!
