I was on the highway yesterday coming back from the airport. and a Toyota minivan (savana sianna salrina what ever it was the new style) was driving along in the lane next to me about 3 cars ahead and all of a sudden HIS TRANSMISSION PAN fell out, I had to swerve at 70 mph to avoid it as it had jagged edges and I new if I hit a blow out was coming. But holy shit, they cant even built cars that hold tranny pans. I new it was the pan because of the shape and the fact that fluid was just pouring out after it fell. OMG I laughed my ass off.

You know, if this was happening to an American company, people would be suing left and right. I am assuming most people wont sue because its a foreign company. I like the co's excuse oh the floor mat got stuck.

Did you guy catch the part where they were discussing the manufacturing carbon footprint of the prius being really huge?

This reminds me of the people proudly tooling around the midwest in their all-electric vehicles that they love to brag about having zero emissions... they pat themselves on the back for being so kind to the planet and then they go home and plug it into the outlet to recharge from the local smoke belching coal fired electric plant...

Real smart!!!!

It's nothing new. It used to happy with sticky throttle cables. These days it could happen with a malfunctioning throttle actuator or a bug in the computer program. The Prius's propulsion is even more disconnected from the driver, as the computer decides whether to operate the electric motor, gas, or both.

What does a FWD transmission pan look like? I know a RWD pan looks like this...

...but would a FWD car have a similar shaped transmission pan? The transmission is shaped very different.

Maybe it's just survival of the fittest... you're stupid enough to buy a Toyota, you deserve to die.
Sounds good to me! Thin the herd!
