Production through May

Based on production reports, production should be around 6100 cars for the month of April. Purely estimating, at a run rate of 351 cars per day, and 21 working days in May, adds another 7371 cars. This alone totals 13000 to 13500 cars. Full total is approximately 15,600 cars since January 1. Again, this is just the rationale based on numbers known. Does anyone know what is being produced? As I have posted before, the early orders are getting preference before regular production starts based on quotes and articles previewing the car. Ed Peper was quoted as saying that "these will be built by May or June". This would indicate that outside of White cars, early orders should be done. I think that those of us that are still at 1100, have no information other than what we know from the dealer, and Chevy customer care, should have the expectation that our cars will be built in that time frame; pending known restrictions etc. Also, should we be making the assumption that if we have an order number, that our cars will be built? Or is there a surprise coming based on mix. This is where the dealer sponsors can really help out with the frustration that we face.

I've been at 3000 for over a month and my dealer claims he has no further info!!!

In my opinion, the dealer number doesn't matter, it is still the same number of cars. If one dealer ordered all 14,000, they still have to be produced in the same time frame. The avis situation is odd also as those cars must be included. That would throw the early orders out of whack. I don't think most of us anticipated that early orders were for "the enthusiast" and the rental flleets.

nah...the 14000 pre-orders is separate from the 6000 dealer cars and avis orders...the 14000 are just from the "enthusiast" group, the others are on top of that #.

I went to 3000 2/27, TRM still has no car, truck drivers saying there are thousands of cars waiting for shipping, etc etc etc. None of this is making any sense unless GM is waiting until after 4/30 to ship when their current promotion incentive ends.

Is their a restraint on the manual? Read a thread that said maybe, and one that said no.....just wondering. Contacted my dealer today and he said my TPW that was there a month ago is now gone!?!?

I have been at 3000 since 3/26. My dealer says that TPW are not being given anymore and the next update will mostly be my VIN or my invoice. But I am patient no really I am!
