Pete and I left upper Michigan Sunday night. We spent all day at the Milford Proving grounds. I saw some unbelievable stuff, that I cannot chat about. But there are great things coming.

We were very happy with our test fit. The issues they were having was/are 2 other aftermarket rear suspension the coils are popping of the spring seats. So we installed our Xa coil overs and now they can drive the Camaro.

However, the drawings and tech data that we were given some time ago has some changes that we were not aware of, but simple to fix. We will do another test fit on May 10th, to confirm the things that we saw that we were not happy with.

Going into the Proving grounds is like going into a sensitive military base. Fro what I saw, I understand completely why. they are dong some really cool stuff.

But I could not take any pictures. they even put security tape over my laptop camera.

So all is well. The couple of items we have to do are extremely minor, will be resolved and test fitted to verify on May 10

For those that will want a strut tower brace, you will have to remove the hood support shock and figure out how to keep the hood up!

thanks

A strut bar is designed to reduce this strut tower flex by tying two parallel strut towers together. This transmits the load of each strut tower during cornering via tension and compression of the strut bar which shares the load between both towers and reduces chassis flex.

We are in great shape. Pete will be back at Milford next week to test fit the revised struts and coils. Then we are a go!

Sway bars are quite different between the G8 and the "Camaro. Not sure why. But we will need to send a set to Au so they can match the bends. The fronts are too complicated to describe due to the intricate bends. Rears are rectangular and no big deal. One of our new dealers that we have not announced yet has a Camaro now, and it appears they will be taking off the bars for us to ship out.

Strut tower bars are no big deal except the hood strut, which will have to go. This one will take a little longer.

Bushings appear mostly the same. We will need a Camaro to do a test fit to confirm.

What's up with the hood strut? Is it an issue of needing to remove it's mounting brace to clear the strut bar or is at a clearance issue when the hood is closed? If it's a problem with the strut bar interfering with the mounting brace why not integrate a new brace on the strut bar or go with a setup like this:

Actually threads like this are just torture in some ways since if I though there was a chance of a Z28 within a year of initial launch I would wait - but right now I am working on basis that if the potential "Top Dog" car is priced along lines of a GT500 then I can get my SS plus a supercharger and still have cash in hand vs cost of GT500 .

There is a chance of a more muscular Camaro. Having said that, why wait when you can build on an SS and probably end up with more performance?

Thumbs up

So, with these coilovers, they are mostly for auto-x as such. I mean I'm sure they make the car handle like a dream, which is what we all want anyways.
Plus, there are totally adjustable to height as well, correct? So, you can pick your specific ride height and still get 100% performance?
Sorry for the questions, just curious about your product. THANKS!!!
Oh, and the "special" car that you are talking about wouldn't happen to be the NICKEY Camaro, would it???? And this is a full GM production car? C'mon, you can tell us!!! lol

I have the Xa's on my GTO, and I drive it everyday. With the adjustability you can set it for the ride home, or for the track.
