I planning on just installing back up camera in mine.

You forgot the special option of the window regulators going out after a few weeks. That grinding sound when they are going down is sweet music to the ears.

I'd go 12. Maybe they've tweaked the issues with the convertible top...

No they didn't. My top was replaced in 5 weeks. The second lasted 2 more. Waiting for top 3 when it comes out of storage or I get a buy back. Nothing was changed on them

they both will have rub marks, and you might have to replace it multiple times.

If you can, I would wait for GM to get a permanent fix before you throw another top on the car, this way less chance of damage each time the top is changed. If there is no permanent fix then get it done just before the warranty runs out. I figure as long I don't have the 5th bow break, then I'll get min changed in 2014 or 2015.

+1 to that--- after having my replaced twice and now going through a buyback/trade out I would wait until you need the top replaced.

Now I am conflicted. Can anyone tell me the differences between the two model years, aside from the 2012 being the 45th anniversary and carbon flash metallic color.....

I had wanted (before settling on waiting for the 45th anniversary edition) the 2011 convertible, RS package, 2SS, black. But, I want to know what the differences are between the 11 and 12 years......

Help please, and fast!

Thanks!!!
Having just traded in an '11 vert for a '12 vert, I can say the individual changes between the two model years doesn't seem a big deal by themselves but taken together is pretty significant. Significant enough that I would have hard time going back to an '11.

For me the biggest differences were the blow out price and 0% for 72 months for the 11!! Saved me a lot of green for future mods!!

The vanity mirrors blow, they are so thin with no lights.
Auto temperature would be a great addition. One feature I miss from my Genesis coupe.

Agreed. However, I've noticed the heat and A/C is the most comfortable of any manual system I've ever used. I woudln't be surprised if the cold & warm dial is thermostatically controlled - though I don't believe it is. For a manual system, someone (and/or the team) really did their homework.

I would save the $$ and go with the 2011. The new steering wheel is hideous.

I guess you like the 1970s Dodge/Plymouth steering wheels with that accordian (crush zone) behind them.

Or you might be comfortable in an Audi

Or dare I say...a Mustang?

I personally like the feel of the 10-11 Camaro wheel with the concave inner surface but I prefer the looks of the 2012 GM wheel design. Everythin is getting it...even the caddies
