I don't understand why people just can't be patient. You've waited all this time, is a couple of extra weeks going to kill you?

I have seen this car at SEMA but my point is this is not the way to run a car Company.
I have a lack of patience of GM This is not how to be number one in the world. |

I disagree with this. GM would be idiotic to haphazardly ship cars across the country. I am sure that they have rather advanced software that optimizes how and when to ship cars. It really wouldn't be all that hard to do actually. And if this car, specifically, was delayed, there's probably a good reason. They don't want cars sitting on their lot just for the helluvit. That would be a waste of everyone's time and money.
In a normal assembly process, there's a certain number of outputs that are inspected to ensure that the rest of the products are being manufactured to specification. There's a statistical calculation the determines exactly how many need to be done. It even takes into consideration if the sample has to be destoyed in order to complete the test (which is obviously not the case for this). I don't exactly remember all the details but trust me that it exists. Why am I giving a lecture on assembly line verification statistics? Because this car very well may have been one of the unlucky (or lucky depending on how you look at it) ones that is getting a full hand inspection. There's a reason for everything. We just may not know what that reason is. Take solice in the fact that MANY of us still have a lot of waiting left to do. |

If the car has not gotten to you yet, it's for a good reason, you can be assured of that. Their corporate philosophy revolves around the consumer. Perhaps the car has a minor defect, for instance -- you're not going to get it until the defect has been rectified. I'm not familiar with the order codes...though I should be....but be patient. Don't get all jumpy, bud! This car is definitely worth it.

I feel your pain also. I ordered on 10-13 and mine was built on 4-17 and is still at 4B00 today. Another car built the same day is already delivered to it's new owner. The only reason I can think of that may make a difference is installing the factory stripes.
Anyone have an idea of how long stripes might hold it up? |

Alot of us ordered 10/13... alot of us still dont have our cars.. but complaining about while we call it venting only really makes it worse and fuels other peoples frustrations....
I watched and complained as people walk into dealerships and buy a new Camaro... BUT... and this is a BIG BUT.. I know mine is being made for me.. it has MY name on it.. sure it might not be super special or anything, but I KNOW I ORDERED IT FOR ME and it is being made JUST for me.... those other folks havent had the same ride that we have had... They don't have the picture they got in the mail, the frustrations.. the joys and the "O"s of staring at photos and hoping for more information.... This last 7 months has been a real roller coaster ride, but in the end WE will be in OUR Camaros that were built JUST FOR US....... and we will remember I sat in a showroom car the other day.. it was awesome.. I was so excited and still am... yes my car is moving but I still dont know when it will be here... but hey its been since October.. light a cigarette (if you smoke) have a beer, turn on some tunes and start figuring WHICH CD you are taking with you when you pick up the car.... its ALL good... you will know it soon.....
