Thanks, yeah I have this idea on the front burner, but it looks like a rainy weekend here. Best thing about this problem is I haven't thought about my top's rub marks in days!

You said muffler delete. Is that all? If you swapped out to a larger exhaust or even the new exhaust pipe is pulling downward on your stock setup it could be hitting your tunnel brace. This will cause a rattle and can trigger knock sensors.

Slide your fingers in between the exhaust and the brace and see how much room you have. Then pull down on the pipes and see if you hear it hit the brace.

Thanks, I'll try that again. Yep just the muffler delete... and the noise follows the up and down of the car over bumps... smaller bumps cause the loudest noises. Know what it mostly sounds like? A set of keys jangling, but if the keys weighed about ten pounds each.

I can't believe this. Those KR sensors are way too wonky if typical things like (in my case) a loose baffle or (in yours) a friggen PEBBLE will send them off and cause the car to run slow.

Regardless, I am happy for you! I can't wait to get my new exhaust set-up so I can feel the true power of my Camaro. Way to persist.

Thanks, I'll upload a video tomorrow, you will NOT believe how much noise came from one little pebble. The car has always been fast, now it is quick again!!

Glad you found the problem! My kr's were pulling timing due to a LOOSE STARTER! I was under the car one day to change the oil and grabbed the starter to pull myself around and it moved! I couldn't beleive it! I had to tighten both bolts, after that my timing pulls virtually dissappeared! I think the dealership didn't tighten it down properly after they repaired the oil pan leak! It took a couple months for me to go through everything to find the cause only to find this by accident! I was pissed but happy at the same time.

Yea, yea, yea. You are soooo proud of your humility!!

There is a part of the cross member that is closest to the wheel outside of the shock mount location... this is where it was. I could only fit a pinkie in there and used wood glue to stick my finger to the rock to lift it out.

Ted even though you have most of my engine mod money and I am going to have you install a cam later this summer, if you give me your ship to address I want to send you and your crew a King Cake.
