I drive mine daily, about 50mi round trip. It takes some getting used to (especially having to rely on the mirrors due to the blind spots) but it is so worth it if you like the car. We did get the 2LT which I think makes a difference and I love the HUD. I was a bit worried about driving it in stop and go with the manual but again it just takes some getting used to. The best thing I've found that was unexpected is the lack of wind inside the car when the windows and/or sunroof are open. It can be 45 outside and with the heat turned up I can drive comfortably with the windows down. On a bright sunny day I can almost pretend it is summer.

Mine's my daily driver from April til November, 50 mile round trip daily and I'm 5'10". I find it to be very comfortable. The seat not only goes back and forth but up and down, and the steering wheel also telescopes to fine-tune your comfort.
On a 900 mile weekender last year it was very comfortable for me and my passenger. Short passengers aren't too happy about their view, but I've ridden in the passenger seat, it works great for me.

Just had a hip replaced for the second time, and the best PT is pushing that clutch in at 5000rpm

I've been DD my Camaro since I got it march 2010.

I have no issues with it with comfort. I personally think its pretty comfortable.

The only thing I regretted is getting it in Black. A black DD is a pain a** to keep up.

Thanks guys for the quick reply. I think the concensus is that I need to keep saving, take one for a test drive and then the rest is up to me. Thanks again. I'll keep you posted on how the test drive goes.

My 2SS has had 16,000 miles put on it in the last year as my daily driver. It's one of the best daily drivers I've ever had. Drove 22 hours in it without resting and was snug as a bug.

My 2SS is my daily driver. Love every bit of it. Plenty comfortable for me.

Gas mileage isn't bad at all, just keep your foot out of it.

I don't see why you were disappointed when you got in the camaro. I think the interior is very well done. Whether you get leather or not, I think it's great.

Also feel free to choose between 2010-2011 models and the 2012 model. There's a few subtle changes like the gauges and steering wheel.

Oh and lastly, you can always go for interior packages. Like the IOM interior upgrade, which REALLY spices up the interior!

imo it would take days of driving it to figure out the exact position that was perfect for you.

sitting in it at the car show while people stood over you waiting for their turn definitely was not a proper amount of time.

i was at the car show at the convention center over the weekend and sat in a challenger for the first time, it was pretty cool i must admit... just take your time and do some more research.

I'm 6'5" and I drive it to school and back every day. I'm actually more comfortable in the Camaro compared to my parents suv.

6' 2" and love having a camaro as my daily driver. The low center of gravity combined with traction control and winter tires makes this car a pro on snow and ice!

I drive mine everyday and love it. Very comfortable to me and I'm pretty close to the same size as the OP. I will say it took a couple days to get used everything set and adjusted for me.

I know how you feel when you says it felt cramped at first. I test drove an LS that was on the lot before I ordered mine and I had the same first impression. I also drove Snowvert's 2SS before I ordered up and was also uncomfortable, but after getting all the settings right and getting accustomed to the sight lines, I am quite comfortable in my LT.
