Grey Stripe Feedback

A thought.....

For those of you who ordered the gray stripe for the exposed insert on the Z...SUPPOSE...just suppose for a minute that the production version does indeed look like the pictures from the Ontario Auto Show:



Instead of what might be a darker, production version (look at the Orange car's spoiler):



Since we're not 100% sure, but obviously concerned...Let's pretend for just a minute, as I've said, that the production stripe is a light/medium gray like the picture looks from the Ontario Show, and you don't like it.

Would you rather Chevy delay the ZL1s with gray stripes (possibly for a month or more) to replace them with Cyber Gray or something (I'm pulling this all out of my behind, just so you know...)...or produce the cars so you can take it off yourself?

Cyber Gray has looked great on any color period... I would wait for it.

I still thing this one my pan out and I think I will still order it on white and if I don't like it just peel it off.. Then maybe paint some CGM ones on...

I tend to agree...but in the event it doesn't, it may be helpful to provide some feedback to the powers that be - what those effected would prefer them to do next (if it's possible, anyways).

I would rather just take it off and put on the 3M Carbon vinyl

Nope comes right off...


Good thing is I have a couple more weeks to decide before my allocation gets picked up.
I'm watching this stuff pretty close here. Don't want to spend the money if I don't have to...

I also don't mind waiting to get it right...

I will say one thing for sure... no matter black or gray I definitely would not get the stripe if I had a sunroof...

...can't believe sunroof is even an option on a performance car like this

I think I'd agree. But then...I like the reverse mohawk too much to get a sunroof in the first place!

The only way any of us can make an informed vote on this poll is if we see how the graphics really look. Take away the showroom lights, snow and anything else that might make it hard to really see what it looks like.

I really think GM should have had pictures of all possible options, instead of letting people place an order for something that they have not seen.

It's really not hard to take a few quality pictures, post them up on their website and let people make informed good decisions about this before letting them order.

Some people are going to love it but some are going to hate/regret it, and if you're spending $470 for a stripe that your not going to like is foolish.

When I was at the dealership the other day checking on my order the black stripe was available with the carbon fiber insert??? I was under the impression that you could only get the gray stripe with the carbon fiber insert. Is that true? I really want a stripe but after seeing the gray the black may be a better choice on a white car.

I did not vote because I do not like vinyl stripes on my cars and do not want mess with the pole. I will say that the color of the stipe in the picture does not seem to match the exposed CF insert very well. This might be because of of angle or lighting or both. The one thing that I know for sure is I would not pay that much money for a vinyl stripe that only covers a small section on the trunk on a sunroof equipped car.

Tbh honest guys I think it's the light... Chevy is pretty good about making things that we want... And this is why I believe the intense lighting I mean it is an auto show may seem as if it's this ugly idk what to call it color... I'm sure it resembles the cf pretty good
