Thats the problem with this kind of stuff..... WE DONT KNOW IF ITS A ISSUE OR A FREAK THING! Hell we dont even know for sure what happend.... Its not fanboyism when somebody says relax there has been only one fascia that has cracked.... It is fanboyism when 1000 front fascia's haved cracked for the same reason and then someone says to let it go.... Until we get more info we all just need to CHILL THE HELL OUT!

Once again the car has been tested.

We are seeing the picture of one car. Untill we see more cars with similar issues, this is nothing more than isolated case.
So how about we focus on trying to find out what else would cause this.
I'm just as curious as the next person, but people seem to be posting without reading. I took the time to read all 200+ posts, please take your time to read as well.

I asked my local dealer about this and he told me that there is a TSB from Chevy that has already fixed this issue. I will guess that Hennessey had one of the first cars and it got out before the TSB was issued.

all bumpers are not very thick maybe 3-6 millimeters actually if that. and there is the foam backing for crash protection. it's like the stuff from bike helmets.

Hi, I can give you a long list of design flaws in my 1995 E36 M3. Most people would still consider it a very high quality car. These range from cracking on the coolant resevoir to weak rear shock mounts to impellers in the water pumps to roundels (the propeller symbol) delaminating and falling off. All of these items had to be replaced.

To be honest, the first thought that pops into my head (like a lot of folks) is that this would be some sort of cheap GM design and mfg., the kind they have been known for for 25 years.

However, given that it has only occurred on one car that is in the hands of a tuner who may have done anything to the car, we should probably wait and find out what actually happened. It sounds pretty fishy that a few high speed runs would have caused that sort of damage when it wasn't spotted in any other car before now. There's no telling what sort of abuse these guys have been putting that car through.

not necessarily. I've stepped on my bumper on the 94 numerous times, front and back and have yet to have spiderweb cracks.

If someone hit something, there would be chipped paint from the impact, the center would be bent up or in, something like that.
again, not necessarily. depending on what it hit and the angle it hit, if it was soft, yet dense enough to bend the plastic fascia, it might not chip the paint at the point of impact.

similar instance, the one time my 94 has been on a flatbed, they ripped my front bumper by the fog light loading it onto the truck, but no spiderweb cracks, just a tear in the composite bumper where it flexed.

If someone pushed on the car there, I guess that's a little more likely, but there would still be spiderweb cracks in the paint.
not always

If it happens from parking over a curb, it can potentially happen to everyone quickly. If it happens from going 155mph, there's a chance that it might not happen to everyone (though material fatigure could eventually add up anyway).

its a tricky thing, more than likely it is due to high speed wind stress, but why this one? why not the other camaros that have gone past 150?
