I can hardly wait to see your reaction to this "very special automobile" when you first get a chance to drive it.................

Oh, I bet you couldn't wipe that smile off your face! I only wish you could say how she drove...and more!!!

One question for ya if I may ask, Scott...

You're a taller guy like me. Was it roomy enough for you? I fit in my 4th Gen just fine. My knees are a little further towards the dash and God knows I'd love it if that seat moved back about 3 more inches. Do you think the designers might 'give a little more room' than the 4th Gen?

This also brings me to an interesting question. The Vette book ended with the car leaving the development phase and entering the production phase. They mentioned that the first cars off of an assembly line are typically white. But the first few C5 Corvettes were red.

So maybe Scott can tell us (if it has even been decided yet)...

What color will the first production Camaros be?
It depends on WHICH cars off the assembly line you're talking about.....

Early Alpha and Beta cars are hand built -- many of the metal ones are white for many reasons - but one of those reasons is for corrosion testing -- which of course is accelerated -- you can SEE the corrosion on a white car -- inside the panels and such......

The next cars are IVERS -- again -- mostly hand built.

Early non-saleables come off the line and can be any number of colors....

IVERs and Non-Saleables have an 'EX' at the end of the VIN and cannot be sold.......

The 'saleable' cars have regular VIN tags and can be sold --

I'm hoping the first one will be Red...............to match the last one off the line at Ste. Therese -- the last one off the line at Norwood, and the last one off the line at Van Nuys..........

DO YOU MEAN V6 OR V8?

tHANK YOU FOR ANSWERING MY QUESTION OF WHY THE CARS ARE WHITE. THAT MAKES TOTAL SENSE!

WHAT DO THEY DO WITH THESE CARS^

How do they do vin#s for these cars anyway? Do they count(?) each car that comes out?

EX vehicles are pretty much for final validation, right? For all intents and purposes they're final or 99% final production intent, but cannot be sold because they're not "final" EPA/DOT certified cars, or still contain some non-production parts content?

That'd be cool if the first couple saleable units were red.

Yeah....come on. We've got pictures of Ed Welburn hugging the thing. Surely we can get some half-posed picture of Scott in the drivers seat

I'm thinking he just test drove the HIPO V8.

And he's not telling... Damnit

Come on Gals and Guys. I've admitted it and you should too. We're all 5th gen Camaro Crack Heads and our pusher (That would be you Fbodfather) is just stringing us along for our next fix.

He drove the V8 did burnouts, speed shifted and broke em loose in 4th if not 5th.

Damnit. I'm so jealous and I can't wait.

I thought of a good title for a book:

"Mommy, Where do Camaros Come From?"
