Does anyone know if the track will allow a motorhome on the premises for this weekend? A buddy of mine who is thinking of coming out would like to bring his.

Normally yes, but the tracks typically lock the gates at night so they'll be stuck inside until the gates open in the morning...

I'd recommend he park at the hotel, that way he's part of the action.

Thanks Chris,Good point on the gates being locked,I know he's been there before with his RV,as he is a drag racer,but he wasn't sure if they would permit overnight parking there for this particular weekend.
I'll have him call them if he decides thats what he wants to do.

The Marriot is really close.

I wanted to book at the Wyndham also, but by the time I got home from work and got the call in, rooms where sold out.

I was able to get rooms for Wednesday and Thursday but Friday and Saturday are booked. Maybe I'll get lucky later... I'll hold rooms at the marriott down the street just to be on the safe side

ETA: OK, all done! I have a room at the Host hotel on Wednesday and Thursday (Guess someone released their booking?) and the Marriott Friday and Saturday!

I just called to reserve a room at the Marriot (overflow hotel) and couldn't get all my rooms at the group rate. I called the National reservation hotline. I will call the hotel itself tomorrow maybe they can do something different.

I'm having trouble getting a room for 8/1-5 at either hotel at the rate block. Even hotel hopping between the two...I cant get it consecutive. The host hotel is sold out period.
I got a room at the CY Marriott for $89 8/1 and 8/4. Then for $109 8/2 and 8/3.
