Where do you people live? There has been probably 100 posts about this same topic. I've had my SS since June 09 and I could count on 1 hand how many times anyone wanted to race me. The majority of those are from idiot's driving ricers. To be perfectly honest I would actually LIKE more people to challenge me just for the fun of it.

When I didn't bite, he slowed down to almost a stop to wait for me to catch up thn he took off again. I had my 18 YO son with me, we rolled the windows down so he could see us and laughed at him.
was it this guy?

It's called self control. The V6 can get you into just as much trouble. Hell, anything can.

I know what I should do and should not do. I have had my stupid days with my 67 Camaro and the 383 I built for it. Now at an older age I enjoy what I have and dont need to drag race to prove it. It feels cool that people want to race me as though to put a feather in there hat. Being safe with your kids in the car is a very smart move. Also street drag racing can wreck a car, lose a license or even worse kill someone. Not matter engine size it only takes one stupid move to cause one of those things. I for one am glad you showed restraint.

At that point he got on his car pretty hard and off he went.

Had my son not been in the car I would have showed him some serious Chevy muscle. It seems like every idiot I encounter wants to race my Camaro. Anyone else have this happen to them regularly?
An R/T or an SRT/8? If the SRT, you might have gotten your butt whipped.

[QUOTE=heRS;4588245]Wow. Have another bowl of Rude Flakes why doncha? One of the reasons I even allowed myself to buy a Camaro was getting the V6 with 312 hp was enough hp for me because if I got a 426 hp V8 I'd go out and get in trouble with it. Not so stupid or outlandish as you might think, grasshopper. [/QUOTE

Are you really that much of an ignorant, obnoxious jerk? Call it like it is: You bought the V8 because you have serious other shortcomings that your girlfriend complained about. You thought the V8 would compensate for it.
