i think there is a switch to go from regular power when you turn the halos on to constant power so you can run them at shows and have them stay on

I believe it stated in the other thread that it had a switch. I believe that's what it is for is to go from battery power to constant power. We will just have to find out unless JDP chimes in with more info or someone that got theirs this past week that were local to the shop.

ahh the joy's of why so many people hate Camaro5... locked/delete threads all because someone isn't a paid vendor (or lapsed time)..... Makes it insanely difficult to find information from the past that was very useful but is no longer around.

Also.... Where are you all deciding to put your switch for these?

We're putting the switch high on the drivers outer kick panel, by your feet, that way its hidden from view, but easily accessed when you want to flip it.

True, it is a wireless remote to change the colors and modes of the halos, but there is a switch to change its power source.
  • You can switch them completely off so no power is being used.
  • You can have them run on straight battery power, so they are always on for car shows, looking cool in parking lots, etc.
  • And you can turn them to ignition controlled, so whenever the ignition is on, they turn on; whenever the ignition is turned off, they turn off. That way you don't have to worry if you forgot to turn them off or not, and they will be on while driving, without any special wiring or modifications.
  • The halos do not use any vehicle wiring, it is a stand alone system.
  • The halos do require the physical use of the factory RS headlights.
  • The halos use very little power, you can typically run them for 24+ straight hours (without running the engine) before effecting a healthy battery. We've had them on some cars for 48+ hours, and the car started right up as if nothing had happened.
  • The halos do not require any permanent damage to the headlight assemblies, and can go back to factory without any problems.
In fact, for the Autorama here this past weekend, we used a headlight assembly, installed the halo light, displayed it all weekend, then today I removed the halo light, and returned it to complete factory design and function.
  • The halo installation does not require any electrical skills, any hard to find tools, or any extra parts.
Thanks for your support and patience, I think you will all be super pleased!
- Jeremy

p.s. The Pre-Sale thread is now back up, sorry for the confusion!

JDP installed mine last week. There is a switch. Jeremy tucked mine up where it cannot be seen but I can easily reach it if needed. The "switch" just has a two position up or down and the middle being the power turned off. Depending on how you wire it up coincides with your ignition start and the other just using the halos allowing the your ignition to be off and the only draw from your battery is for the halos. We had the Autorama here all weekend. I ran my color changing all three days on the show mode, never starting the car in between and Sunday night it fired right up when I started it. The power draw is so low. But boy let me tell you they were a huge hit at the show and I absolutely love, love, love them! You guys won't be disappointed. They were worth the wait.
