@camarowa
I was told that timelines depend on the volume they have to process. I think WA belongs to the Nebraska center. California beeing the most crowded.

If you dont mind me asking, what country do you come from and by which means(visas, marriage) did you move to the US ? How long did it take ?

Some of the dangers of winter driving in Seattle are related to people not knowing how to drive in snow - once or twice a year really isn't enough time to learn properly, after all. BUT - a huge part of the problems here are related to lack of snow removal. If the roads aren't plowed, sanded, or salted - which they are NOT - winter driving is treacherous. When it snows here, I drive a 4 wheel drive SUV with studded tires. The 2SS stays in the garage. I don't doubt that you are capable of driving in snow, I just want to make sure you know that the location you're planning to live in has some of the steepest hills in the city, and they don't get treated properly when it does snow. If you love your SS (which I'm sure you will!), you will either stay home, or drive something else until the snow and ice melt.
By the way, all the hassles required to move here will be well worth it - you're going to LOVE Seattle!

You can check the timelines at uscis.gov. That is what I did for you (using the Nebraska center) before I posted my reply above. Every single form has its own process. Transitioning from one status to next is all but seamless (something to keep in mind). Only one form processes at a time. I would say you are probably looking at 12-18 months before everything is said and done.

I immigrated from The Netherlands. Would say the entire process took 18-20 months before I had a green card. My situation was different than yours. Yours will probably go slightly faster but not much as you still need the same forms and separate status changes.

I lived in Germany for almost 6 years (military) and the climate is very similar here. Not as cold but wet and cloudy.
I agree with orangeonwhite's advice.
I'm outta here the first chance I get.
Must...have...sun.

Did you guys buy your camaros brand new from chevy dealers or second hand from a auto dealer or private owner ? Which is the better war to go in your opinion ?

I know you cant go wrong with a brand new car but its also way more expensive. Also you can find very good second hand camaros some even with warranty on them for better prices. So.. what did you choose when you got your camaro ?
