alrighty...step 1...remove speedo bezel....found this easiest by moving the steering wheel to the lowest setting...this will come in handy later...and a trim removal tool...i used a door panel tool wrapped with masking tape as not to damage dash or bezel

the tricky part is the damn rubber cover at the bottom as stated in other posts...other than that it pops right out...(pic 1)

i didnt remove the black bottom piece...just tape and paint....

reinstalling i realized that rubber cover is going to be a real PITA to put back on the bezel...so i left it alone and just snapped the bezel back in...important to note that its best to start at the top corners and work your way down (pic 2, 3 and 4)

now the fun piece...the steering wheel bezel...DISCONNECT - battery cable and wait 15 minutes (i painted and cleared the speedo bezel while i waited)

there are 2 small holes behind the airbag cover...use a long but small allen wrench to feel around inside for a spring on each side....apply a good amount of pressure while pulling on the cover and it will snap right out...one side will definitely be tougher than the other...deep breaths here lol

you will see 2 yellow wires attached to the airbag module...one has a blue connector one a red you must first lift up the 2 pins used to secure the plug in the module...then u can wiggle it out...be careful these pins are delicate looking...remove the plugs and set the module aside (pic 5)

use the same pry tool to pry the bezel out its really only pushed into the rubber in the steering wheel...youll see this

paint..clear...reinstall (pic 6 and 7)

finished dash panels, shift bezel, steering wheel bezel and speedo bezel (pic 8)

now all thats left is the doors

This is helpful to me...I don't want to paint anything, but I do want to clean inside the lenses on my tach and speedo, and this will help me get there...I think someone on the assembly line sneezed while they were putting my dash cluster together.
