Here is what I found in SW Ohio...

McKluskey Chevrolet Mason OH - Has one, color unknown, its covered up and no one will come clean on the color. Big show 6-9 to be uncovered at 7 sharp.

Sweeney Chevrolet Sharronville OH - 1LT Black. Big deal all day, food, news... unveiling officially at 7 but car is not covered. I have been around a black 2SS so not really concerned with this one.

Wyler Chevrolet Eastgate OH - IDIOTS... I asked about the unveiling and I got a smart assed..."unveiling, its been unveiled, its sitting on our showroom floor." Then I asked what package it was. He said RS... well I guess that could be what I was asking but I really meant LT or SS so I asked 6 or 8... its a red 1or2 LT RS, red

McFarland Chevrolet Maysville KY - Was clueless as to what I was talking about but they have a red 1LT. The man I spoke with on the phone, Rudy was very helpfully and knowledgeable. I even accidently called the car Velocity Red and he corrected me and said its Victory Red... I was glad to see he knew his stuff... I am going to look at the car tonight.

Montgomery Chevrolet Montgomery OH - they have a Silver LTRS and IOM SS. Big thing going on with the unveiling at 7:00. Cars are currently covered and won't be taken off till after 7.

Although the "unveiling" isn't until tonight at 6:00, I went to the dealer at about 10:00 this morning to try & get a brochure.

Well, they were actually filming the 6:00 pm unveiling at 11:00 & about 10 of us that were there got to be filmed in the commercial!

The announcer said: "We're only moments away from the historic occasion, are you ready?

Then we said: YEEEESSSSSS!!!!

Then, the announcer said: Let's go!!!

then we said: "1,2,3, GOOOOO!"

Then they took the cover off.

I finally got to see this thing in person!! It is absolutely stunning - the HID's weren't on it, but it still looked good - they needed free mops there to soak up the drool!

the dealer told me they could have one for me in 4-8 weeks & it would be AT MSRP - no higher!.

I'm going back tomorrow just to sit in it - maybe I'll put in an application so I can work there washing cars - as long as I can be near one....

I'ts gonna be hard to wait for HUD to come out. They also told me that the ABL accross the dash was cancelled because the company making the lights went into bankruptcy - GM is supposedly going to have another supplier soon & ABL on the dash "Should be on the next model year".

I just went to the Bankston Chevy dealer here in Fort Worth TX at lunch and they have an Orange SS on the floor... SOLD! It sold in seconds, customer paid $5k over sticker and left it in the showroom! Pics attached!

With the windshield being as small as it is, I definitely wouldn't want a big CAMARO decal on it.

I am in Las Vegas this week and I thought I would be able to attend an "unveiling event" while I was here. I called Vista Chevrolet and Findlay Chevrolet and they are having their event on the 13th! I also called Fairway Chevrolet and they are having just a general event the 9th through the 14th. But Vista's website says they have 3 in stock so I am going there anyway to take a look!

Davis-Moore here in town didn't get their car for the unveiling, so maybe later in the month? My dealer is cool, he called to tell me, and said he would check in any updates on my car when they do the updating on Thursday. I can probably guess there will be no news, since it's a V6 manual. *sigh*

Most dealers around here don't expect their cars for a few weeks still...my dealer wouldn't commit to a date for the unveiling, if they do it anymore at all.

Same story in my area (Eastern Shore of Maryland) as for lots of others. The local dealer told me late last week they were going to get the car early this week and have the unveiling today. However, when I went there yesterday to try to sneak a peek, they said the car didn't come in due to "logistics" problems, and they expect it in a few days.

Also called another dealer about 20 miles away. They said they don't have a car yet, but are expecting one in a few days.

Oh, well. The wait goes on.

Here's a good one. After I made my last post, I checked my email. Got one from Chevy saying I should check out the new Camaro, which is now at dealerships!!

Way to go Chevy. It would help if you had cars for us to look at before you send us an email inviting us to come look!!

Dealer in my town did not get one to unveil. Makes me so sad, since he wanted 5k over MSRP.
