my buddy who talked to the guy in GM that does the supplier list etc... said that there were NO GMS or any discounts available at this time from GM. Better tell your dealers to call GM and ask, because they will not give you the $ off if they aren't going to recover it back from GM.

Haha, I'm actually eligible for 3 different supplier discounts...

- Through my company
- Through my credit union
- Through recent graduation

The key word here is "at this time" . Didn't someone post that all discounts would be available at the start of production.

Forgive me but that is still 24 days away. Even if they build my car on the first day of production I still would not have it for a few weeks. I think that they will have the discounts in place by that time.

They also need to announce the amount of the GM Card discount that will be allowed. BUt since the car isn't in production there is no reason to announce that yet.

Just my thoughts.

Robin

I agree 100%, that's the issue though , some of these guys truly believe they will get a discount but as of now there are none.. dealers misleading them is all.

GM Employee Pricing

Has anyone bought a car using the GM Employee Discount?
The sales manager says it's not available on such a new car.
This surely would save me about $4000.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

tell your dealer to check again................my dealer said as of 5/1/09 GMS is available on the Camaro.

also, i can't find the thread, but FbodFather (Scott Settlemire) said that it's available as well. dealers DO NOT have to accept it however. many are.

if yours won't, find one that will. there's a couple site sponsors here that do!

Chevy Launch Site, GMFamilyFirst Site, Vice-Presidents, directors, insiders, all have said it is available. GMS price is available on the invoices and at GMFamilyFirst. There is one site the dealers primarily look that did not show it as available at the end of April, hopefully that has been updated as well now.

And even though it had not been updated the discounts were STILL
available. Some people were not able to think outside the box.

so.... you are saying there there is a problem with some GM software that is making people miss out on thier discounts?

....

so only the select dealers that know how to get around the software issues will know that the Camaro is eligible...

....

And GM hasn't sent out a mass email to dealers to clear this up...

....

..... it makes since ........ since my dealer thinks that the Camaro isn't elibible... and I have to look everywhere for enough proof to bring in and show him and hope it works...

..... ...

this whole pre-order thing ......
