halo package

Let's see, I was part of the Pre-order, I have not rec a UPS tracking number or response from JDP. I just put my bumper BACK on yesterday because I have no idea when this item will arrive. Have a car show this weekend and was hoping to install. definitely not happening now.

They have mentioned several times that they are shipping them as the orders were placed. It depends where in the pre-order you were, middle? end etc.. They shipped about 10-15 units and will ramp up more each week.

So we do have to pull out the existing halo light and replace it with something different? Now I'm confused..

Feature #1
Utilizes the factory halo rings (has a clean, smooth stream of light)

Maybe I just don't get it. I'll have to wait for the video I guess. I probably won't get mine for another few weeks as I just recently ordered mine. Guess I'll see how others do it.

The light for the halos is created by an LED.
The halo you see when looking at the headlights is just a tube with an LED at the end (or LED's).
The LED is replaced but the tube stays in place. It isn't like a Cold cathode tube where you replace the whole tube.

Hope this helps.

That helps greatly actually. Thanks so much. I'm just not mechanically savvy so I got worried about it hah.

My understanding is we remove the headlights, open the access doors on the back of the headlights, remove the factory LED's should be very simple put he new RGB LEDs in hook up the wiring harness, mount the control box put headlights in put bumper back on turn the lights on

Just got my package in, the Build Quality looks to be superior and instructional CD looks promising.

Edit: The added CD includes written instructions and a video of how to do it. It appears that every base was covered very nicely during the video.

I'm starting the install now, Completed watching the install video, without giving away the secret, it is very very simple, there are 2 access panels or ports well more like holes on the headlights for you to gain access.

I have to give it to JDP, very nicely done and it sure beats baking the headlights
