![]() 2-3 seems to grind on me, even if the clutch is in.. Nothing audible, but I can feel the jaring coming up the shifter. I have a very late build 2010.. Something like 3/10 or 4/10.. So, I don't have the output shaft issue.. But, notchy gears are a definite yes. I do drive the piss out of mine on the track as well.. I no-lift-shift it every time under full boost and throttle.. Drive line is very clunky when using clutch, even shifting gears makes a clunk.. Mine is much more noticeable now that I have all the HD bushings and such.. It's to be expected, but even I never realized how noisy the driveline was. |

I use RP; the notchiness is 2>3 and seems to lessen once the Tranny is warmed up. I don't know that RP makes much of a difference, but warming up the Tranny does.
When the Tranny is cold, I pause when shifting; but it is still notchy sometimes. I also shift 1>3>5 in City Traffic, revving to 2000~2300 RPM I have a 2012 Challenger with the same TR6060; 900 miles now and haven't really noticed the same 2>3 notchiness as in my 2010 Camaro. |

Based on what I've been reading here it seems the majority of complaints are coming from 2010 owners, less from 2011, and few if any from 2012. Forgive me for being out of the loop but are the 2012's less problematic? That seems to be the case on the Challenger forums as well.
Essentially, Ford is buying back my car over their own Getrag transmission nightmare and I'm a stick guy... so the Camaro is the next closest vehicle to my Stang. I have one more week to decide and was pretty much sold on the Camaro 2SS with the Tremec but now I'm VERY concerned.

Mine is solid through every gear. Still brand new though.

Anyone that isn't experiencing the problem are not driving the car aggressively. I can produce the problem easily by simply shifting at high RPM's or speed shifting. For me it happens mostly 2-3, as I don't rev too hard in 1st (too much torque to deal with). So, in 2nd. I'll get it up to 4.5+k/rpm for example and then slam it into 3rd., and it won't go into gear, I have to let off accelerator to get rpms down, then it will go into gear. |

[QUOTE=SGDM;4673933]GM will not replace the tranny, it is not "cost effective", that is what they told me. My car has been waiting on parts for 37 days now. WTF
Go to a different dealer, i took mine in and they gave me a new one.

could be that Tremec recognized the problem and quietly started using different blocking rings (brass vs carbon fiber), as some have noted in other threads. As I said, my 2012 Challenger with a TR6060 is noticeably 'un-notchy' compared to my 2010 Camaro with a TR6060 |

The factory hurst in the camaro is definitely notchy compared to a 2012 challenger no doubt. But the CTS-V, GT500, Corvette, and Challenger forums all show far fewer synchro issues with the 2012's over previous years so SOMETHING changed in the TR6060 over time. Again, the majority of complaints here seem to be from 2010 owners.
